The moment I opened the packaging, I was immediately attracted by it. The blue and green combination looks very striking. It perfectly matches the personality style that marathon runners like me pursue.
The name Speed 160 comes from the weight of the shoe itself. A single shoe in size 41 weighs 160 grams. My size 44 pair of shoes (with insoles) weighs 430 grams. A single shoe weighs 215 grams, which is outstanding among lightweight running shoes!
The upper uses Xtep's unique thin and lightweight mesh fabric with X upper support. This makes the upper breathable while also providing good wrapping.
The toe cap uses a TPU film to strengthen toe protection, preventing toe abrasions during medium and long-distance runs.
The tongue is printed with the Xiamen Marathon logo. After putting on the shoes, I could clearly feel their lightness, with no burden. Although they are light, the wrapping is still excellent. For the first time, I chose to run 10 kilometers on an asphalt road. During the initial test run, there was no break-in feeling. I could feel that the shoes fit my feet very well. The lightweight design made my running more powerful.
The second time, I chose to do a speed run on a rubber track, testing with my forefoot landing. During the run, I could clearly feel the shoes' weightlessness. The grip on the ground was full of power. The quick shock absorption and rebound made every step smooth. The pace for the first kilometer reached 3 minutes and 39 seconds. The first five kilometers took only 20 minutes and 15 seconds. I still had the strength to sprint in the 10th kilometer! It was the first time I ran so fast and comfortably.
