edifier and minions collaboration do you like it
Preface:
In 2019, I gained a new identity: a stock investor. Yes, one of those Chinese retail investors who often lose money. So,Edifieris a trend I definitely missed out on, and it's unlikely I'll catch up. Now it's 2020, can I still catch up with Edifier? There's a saying that even pigs can fly if they catch the wind. Of course, I'm not calling Edifier a pig. I have a good impression of Edifier. Over ten years ago, I used their speakers when assembling my computer. Although I didn't follow up with them later, despite using many domestic TWS earphones, I didn't expect Edifier to be the biggest winner behind the TWS trend. This success is a result of Edifier's technical accumulation and strategic achievements. Edifier, which succeeded in the stock market, did not disappoint and collaborated with the Minions to launch a custom edition of Minions earphones.
Minions Earphones Experience
The Minions earphones are customized based on Edifier's original TWS3. Currently, TWS3 earphones are no longer available on JD.com, only the Minions earphones are being sold.
Recently, many of my colleagues have bought these earphones. The main reason is the Minions IP; everyone loves the Minions. This indirectly proves that Edifier made the right choice.
The trend of collaborations has been around for a while, but it became particularly popular in 2019. It seems like overnight, all Chinese businesses learned how to collaborate. Look at the various collaborations in running shoes, mobile phones, watches, and earphones. These smalldigital productsare likely on their way to collaborations as well.
The Minions' cheerful, optimistic, and curious personality traits attract most people. Coupled with their appealing appearance, choosing the Minions version of true wirelessBluetooth earphonesis a natural decision.
The packaging of the Minions W3 has also been redesigned. The Minions' image and the earphones' illustration are clear and straightforward, making it easy to decide to buy. The packaging list is simple: ear tips, charging dock, and charging cable.
Additionally, it comes with a storage bag for the earphones.
The charging case is colored in the Minions' primary colors, with a big eye placed prominently, making it look like a Minion is peeking at you, which is quite attractive.
The yellow and blue color scheme faithfully represents the Minions' characteristics. The external pattern on the earphones also features the Minions' big eye, enhancing the Minions' image. The designer put a lot of thought into this.
The charging case can charge the earphones up to three times. Each charge allows the earphones to be used for 8 hours, with a total battery life of up to 32 hours, meeting a full day's heavy usage.
The ear tips are blue, and the yellow earphones with blue ear tips look like transformed Minions. These transformed Minions earphones are appropriately sized and weighted, making them suitable for wearing. In modern terms, they are ergonomically designed for more comfortable wear.
Once the earphones are successfully paired with Bluetooth, they will automatically power on and connect to the phone when the case is opened, making the connection speed very fast and the user experience very comfortable.
The earphone shell is quite glossy, so be careful not to drop or scratch it, as it can easily get damaged. The shell supports touch operations through the eye icon, allowing for interactions like switching music and answering or ending calls, but these are all done on the right ear.
Of course, both earphones support independent operation and can connect to the phone via Bluetooth separately.
About Sound Quality
The hardware uses Qualcomm's unique aptX high-spec decoding, which has lower latency and better error tolerance, with a sampling rate of up to 48KHz, unlocking more music details. The 06mm dynamic driver is specially tuned for the small, multi-component cavity environment, providing full and realistic mid and low frequencies, bright and natural high frequencies, with clear and distinct layers. Colleagues who bought them said the sound quality is good, with no noise or electrical interference. I think most TWS earphones now use similar solutions, so the quality should be comparable as long as quality control is maintained. Bluetooth 5.0 technology is also essential.
Additionally, the earphones support the eighth-generation CVC noise reduction for calls, which accurately identifies and eliminates background noise through algorithms, providing a purer call experience. They also support IPX5 waterproof technology, making them unaffected by daily exercise sweat or light rain.
Conclusion
In the face of the highly homogeneous truewireless earphonesmarket, collaborative earphones are a good way out. This time, Edifier has once again taken the lead. Faced with the Minions Bluetooth earphones, and with the price unchanged, I think I would choose them. What about you?
