2019 wrap up guangzhou marathon see you next year

Even though hard work may not always meet your expectations, it shouldn't be a reason not to strive for change.Life requires passion. With a positive attitude, make small changes and small improvements bit by bit.Otherwise, life is just numbers on a calendar.

The 2019 Guangzhou Marathon is the final domestic race of the year. The memories of the Shanghai and Beijing Marathons are still fresh. Thanks to Midea for sponsoring my participation, making this winter vibrant. Even though it was a half marathon, it gave me a chance to adjust and sprint.

1. Departure to Guangzhou

2019/12/5

Leaving Shanghai, I couldn't contain my excitement. I woke up early, even before the alarm, to wash up and pack. Although this trip was just a business trip✈.

Some trips are more about who you're with than where you're going.

Thanks to Midea for bringing together interesting souls from all over, making it more exciting to meet these brothers and sisters.Running is not just a hobby; it's a bridge that brings like-minded friends together.

After security check and before takeoff, I found the most leisurely time of the weekend. Watching people come and go in the hall and planes docking outside, I don't love coffee but I love selfies. Haha, time to board✈.

2. Arrival in Guangzhou

I unexpectedly captured a photo of the Canton Tower from the plane. The night view of the big city is really beautiful.

It was already 9 PM when I arrived in Guangzhou. As soon as I landed, I received a message from Big Squid. Without even looking, I knew he had organized a hotpot gathering. Sure enough, I dragged my luggage and tired body straight to the beef hotpot.

Seeing familiar friends after a long time, all the fatigue disappeared. Good food, drinks, and open-hearted conversations are anothermeaning of travel.Trust among friends means never forgetting to care amidst laughter. We returned to the hotel in the best tipsy state, ready for the next day's shoot.

3. Non-stop Midea activities

2019/12/6—2019/12/7

I heard Guangzhou doesn't have winter, but as last year's pacer, I experienced the coldest Guangzhou Marathon. This time, I encountered strong winds and a significant drop in temperature. Shivering, I headed out early to the expo to collect my race kit.

This year's bib number is my birth year and my dad's birthday.

At the Midea booth, I changed into beautiful clothes, and the shoot began.

There were many small gifts at the Midea booth, making it simple yet lively. I love this group photo; it has a warm, sibling-like feel❤.

To better showcase the runners' elegance and Guangzhou's unique charm, our group explored the race route ahead of time.

The sunset gave endless imagination. The gentle breeze and light steps made me eager to see the photos from the photographer. For runners, running is the most beautiful and passionate moment.

This shoot was different from the past. There was no script, no fixed points; it was entirely in an unfamiliar place. But with familiar friends, it felt more like playing together than working. Kudos to the photographer Ah Dai and videographer Xiao You, who worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk and continued editing back at the hotel.

4. Guangzhou Marathon: The more you run, the more beautiful it gets. Life needs a personal best (PB).

Tianhe Sports Center was early packed but not overcrowded. After the final shoot, we stored our clothes early and entered the track.

This year might have been a tough one for me. I got injured in the first half and had family issues. Returning to the race was a big thanks to Midea for this opportunity.

"It will all pass"is a very useful phrase.

Whether in joy or sorrow, pride or disappointment, happiness or sadness, laughter or tears, you can always tell yourself this.

Because it really will all pass. This half marathon was my way of wrapping up 2019.

Before the start, the creaking of my knee and the doctor's advice echoed in my ears.

Well, finishing the race is good enough.

The initial reason for running was to lose weight and relieve stress. My running journey has always been solitary. I don't like being disturbed, chatting, or showing my tired self.

After getting injured, I understood my body better. Before the race, I knew I couldn't achieve a PB. Butwith the sound of the starting gun, only the runner's belief remains.

As I crossed the starting line with the crowd, I controlled my speed and heart rate. But as expected, my knee started to ache, and I had to slow down.

Achieving a PB is certainly delightful, but the joy of running a marathon isn't limited to that.

Running makes me feel the breath of life. The sweat I shed helps me forget life's troubles, rather than blaming or criticizing others. The scenery along the way makes me feel love, to love and be loved. There's always someone silently supporting you, someone you love and who loves you. Running friends, friends, good brothers and sisters, at this moment, we all feel exhilarated.

As a free runner, running joyfully on the track, giving a smile to fellow runners, gently saying "keep it up," adds warmth to the serious and cold track, providing them with the motivation to persist. This is the spirit of the marathon.

Running slowly allows you to not miss the scenery along the way.

In this race, I just wanted to run happily and healthily, bringing joy and passion to the runners around me.

I remember last month's Shanghai Marathon, where I saw someone collapse at the 38km mark. Without thinking, I rushed over to perform CPR. Although I couldn't revive them with compressions, the AED eventually brought them back.

I hope all runners:

1.If someone collapses, don't just watch and take out your phone to film. If you can't provide first aid, call for help and clear the way.

2. Our finish line is home, not the marathon finish line.

5. The marathon finish line is the starting point of life.

I often feel disappointed in myself, butI have never given up on making myself better.Seeing many friends around me achieve their PBs and ideal results makes me envious, but it's truly the result of their hard work and sweat. The 2019 Guangzhou Marathon, as the final race of the year, also marks the beginning of my winter training, gearing up for my marathon goals in 2020.

See you next year❤
