crazy runner once circled chengdu challenge 222km+
222KM+, no special significance, the distance around Chengdu. Codoon user @708_Feng Er, an ordinary runner who runs a bit faster than the average runner, once initiated a non-stop running challenge around Chengdu exceeding 200km!
Who is Feng Er?
The protagonist who challenged the 200km+ run around Chengdu is named Chen Xuejun, and he is already 47 years old this year. He started running to and from work in 2002 and has been involved in running for 13 years. Initially, his running friends called him Er Dui, but due to his extraordinary passion for running, he earned the nickname Feng Er. He is a well-known grassroots running enthusiast in Chengdu. Feng Er was originally an ordinary sanitation worker, and many people know him for his crazy runs around the Third Ring Road. Since 2011, he has been running around the Third Ring Road for 4 years, and now his next goal is to conquer 200 kilometers.
At the same time, Feng Er is also a heavy user of Codoon, with a cumulative running distance of over 7000Km. He is a signed athlete of the Wild Traveler National Elite Running Team, with a personal best marathon time of 2 hours and 49 minutes. He has completed multiple ultra-trail races exceeding 100 kilometers, won the Hong Kong TNF100 trail race, and is the first person in Chengdu to run around the Third Ring Road.
So why is Feng Er challenging the 200km+ run around Chengdu this time?
In Beijing, an 80s man spent nearly 14 hours running around the Fifth Ring Road, covering almost 122 kilometers. After reading this report, Feng Er's desire to challenge was ignited.
"I think if he can run the Fifth Ring Road in one go, then I can too. I'm preparing to challenge 200 kilometers," Feng Er said somewhat defiantly. As everyone knows, such long-distance trail running causes great harm to the body, let alone running 200 kilometers continuously. Regarding this, Feng Er said, "I know it will cause harm, but I just want to try and challenge it." Just last year, Feng Er challenged a non-stop 168-kilometer run, which took him 25 hours, and he took two days to recover afterward.
Feng Er is not just a simple marathon enthusiast; he is also passionate about extreme trail races. In the previous 100-kilometer race in Zhangye, Gansu, Feng Er finished with a time of 16 hours, 55 minutes, and 51 seconds, ultimately ranking 24th. When talking about this race experience, Feng Er said he almost lost his life.
On September 4th, he completed the 222KM+ non-stop running challenge around Chengdu, attracting the attention of major media.
