cow dung winter returns, body wide but never stops

In winter, a season when animals stock up on meat to stay warm and hibernate, less determined animals like little snakes and turtles dig a hole early and retreat from the world. Some lazy people cuddle with hot water bottles in their beds, eating luxury cherries and enjoying the air conditioning, refusing to step outside even for a moment.

Compared to the dry cold of the north, which can be easily defended against by wearing more clothes, the damp cold of the south is like a magical attack; no matter how many layers you wear, it doesn't help. You need resistance. Besides a 'Andy Lau-style' coat, you also need a righteous spirit to go out.

*A group of interesting folks, love you all ❤

Although the winter in Nanjing is only a few degrees below zero, the magical attack is particularly strong. By December, it has already dropped below zero, and the magical attack reaches its peak. Going out for a run requires courage from Liang Jingru.

I'm extremely lazy, with a monthly running distance of just over a hundred kilometers, mostly relying on races for training. Various competitions support my monthly mileage. Despite the lack of events in winter, I still maintain an average of over a hundred kilometers per month, which is quite (shamelessly) diligent for me.

Every time I get home from work, wrapped in layers like a rice dumpling, I need to change into my sportswear to go running. With a body fat percentage of around 10, I seem to lack the natural insulation—fat. I'm extremely afraid of the cold, so you can imagine the mental preparation and courage I need to step outside.

As the saying goes: 'Train in the coldest days of winter and the hottest days of summer.'

I believe in this principle. When others are deterred by the cold weather, and you are running in the icy frost and snow, you have already won.

*Running bare-necked in the snow, are you scared?!

Morning runs are rare throughout the year because my warm bed often holds my body captive, unable to escape its clutches. So, I run more at night. After getting home from work at around six, the long nights of winter are already pitch dark. At this time, I appear on the streets, a running man striding and sweating freely.

*Running under the dazzling lightsof neon lights has its own charm.

Sihong County, a small town with a long history, invited us through the 'Mango Running Group' to participate in their annual running group meeting. It was an honor, and we took the opportunity for a two-day tour of the small town.

Runners have an unwritten habit of running and checking in at every place they visit, recording their exercise footprints with Codoon.

The ancient and simple customs of Sihong, with its strong ancient charm and mostly white walls and black tiles of ancient-style buildings, gave me the motivation for a morning run. Running around the Bian River and Sui River, breathing in the fresh air, I felt physically and mentally refreshed. The roadside breakfast stalls were already bustling, offering delicious and affordable food that I could hardly believe. I made some big deals for a few bucks, buying breakfast for my lazy companions. After all, I'm a considerate guy.

Measuring the city with my footsteps, I experienced the local customs and culture while jogging. Although it was a fleeting glance, every breath of air and every building I saw carried the unique cultural atmosphere of the place.

In Nanjing, snowflakes rarely fall, only three to five times a year. So, whenever it snows, everyone spontaneously climbs Purple Mountain to enjoy the snow scene. Nanjing's runners wouldn't miss this beautiful event.

*Running wildly on Mingling Road, feeling the romantic love story of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling.

Running and playing in the snow, a man weighing over a hundred kilograms is as happy as a child. On one hand, I love to play; on the other hand, the cold stimulates the body to secrete more endorphins, which brings happiness and joy. So, the more you run in winter, the happier you get!

Self-discipline means self-control! Winter running requires a strong inner drive, which is a high level of self-control and persistence.

The Salomon monthly race is the best training method during the off-season. Running into the mountains, familiar runners, everyone knows each other, chatting and joking before the race, running and competing during the race. This small local trail race at the doorstep quenches the thirst for mountain running and reunites old friends during the winter off-season. Wonderful.

*Broken Chinese from Delmas and broken English from me.

Feel the spring, summer, autumn, and winter with your heart, running through the four seasons. The charm of nature is not just gentle and beautiful, not just mild spring and autumn, but also includes frost and scorching heat, the hellish winter and summer. Persist in running, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and in this busy and chaotic fast-paced world, seek your own peace and freedom. This also builds a good physique, with abs sculpted by sweat. Everything has a cause and effect.

What about you?

Have you trained in winter?

Gained weight?

No worries!

You are the best (fattest)!
