elegant modern simple you and me—jaybird tatrah

First of all, I would like to thank Codoon for giving me, a loyal Codoon fan, another precious opportunity to review, and also thank the Physician Runner Team, one of the top ten running groups in the country, for their strong support. Without further ado, let's look at today's protagonist: JayBird TATRAH Wireless Bluetooth Sports Earphones.

Brand Introduction

Jaybird, known as Jiebo De in Chinese, is a company from the United States dedicated to developing professional sports products. Founded in 2006, its main products include sports earphones and sports wristbands. After being acquired by Logitech in 2016, it became a part of Logitech's sports product lineup. JayBird is Logitech's American brand for sports-specific earphones. 'Designed for sports, born for adventure!'

Unboxing with Surprises

First, let's take a look at the true appearance of the outer packaging. The packaging box is very classy, with a delicate feel, and the instructions and guides in four languages (English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese) give a sense of familiarity!

Of course, as soon as I got it, I couldn't wait to open the packaging and see the whole set! The sleek black interior gives a sense of simplicity, fashion, and grandeur, providing a visual impact. Here's a group photo of the entire set! It immediately made me fall in love with it!

Introduction of All Members

Wireless sports earphones, ear tips (3 pairs: sizes 1, 2, 3), USB charging clip, quick-adjust cable clip, collar clip; getting started guide, user manual, warranty card, and certificate of conformity are all included.

Although Tarah's accessories are few, they can meet the needs of most users, which aligns with its minimalist design philosophy. For example, the soft ear tips use an integrated design, combining the fins and silicone tips, and are humanely equipped with three sizes (1, 2, 3), which is very reassuring. No more worrying about not having the right size ear tips!

Jaybird's exclusive USB charger is very lightweight and portable, yet it retains a simple and stylish look. Remember, it's exclusive, so take good care of it! The white light flashes when charging, giving a cool feel; a 10-minute charge provides 1 hour of battery life, and it takes about 1 hour to fully charge, with the white light staying on when fully charged!

The quick-adjust cable clip allows you to adjust to the most comfortable length freely, while the collar clip helps fix the earphones on the collar or running hat. I'll share some of my tips on using it later.

Testing Phase

First Test (Park Asphalt Road)

Comfort: First of all, the JayBird TATRAH is very lightweight, especially with the help of the quick-adjust cable clip and collar clip, which can fix the excess cable length on the collar or the back strap of the running hat (a personal tip, give it a try). This makes it feel even more relaxed! It doesn't sink or shake due to the weight of the control buttons, unlike the Mpow U5 Plus I used before, which felt a bit bulky. After trying it on, I chose the size 2 ear tips, which are very comfortable and skin-friendly, fitting stably and not easily falling off, allowing users to fully enjoy the rhythm of music while running! Of course, remember to distinguish between left and right when installing the ear tips. You can refer to the photos I took as a guide.

Lightweight: The TATRAH weighs only 13.85 grams without the ear tips, making it very light to wear, without any heavy or restrictive feeling. It's truly a model of simplicity and fashion. It's much lighter than the Pioneer SEC-S801BT I used to wear during workouts, as the latter has heart rate monitoring and reporting functions, adding some accessories.

Control: The three-button operation is very simple. The power button, volume buttons, and previous/next track buttons are all very convenient. For the first pairing, you need to turn on both the earphones and the phone's Bluetooth and select Jaybird Tarah on the phone. It connects quickly, with a voice prompt 'Connected' and an English voice prompt for the battery level 'Fully Charged' or '***Percentage'. After that, it will automatically pair quickly every time you turn it on, giving you an instant pairing feeling!

Stereo Sound: The stereo sound is still very good. The ear tips' seal is quite good, so there's no external noise interference, allowing you to focus on running or other sports! As a HiFi enthusiast, I have high requirements for sound quality and prefer Beats wired headphones, so Tarah doesn't quite meet my needs. However, among the sports series wireless Bluetooth earphones I've worn, Tarah is already very good.

Second Test (Stairs + Wild Road)

Stability: The stability is still excellent in the second test. The in-ear design with ear tip fins ensures Tarah fits the ear canal. The unique quick-adjust cable clip and collar clip management design ensure the earphones' stability during exercise. To test its stability, I specifically ran about 150 steps and climbed about 100 meters of wild road. Its stability is excellent, which is my favorite aspect of Tarah. It allows me to enjoy the rhythm of music and the fast pace while going up and down stairs and dirt roads! 10,086 likes!

Detail Test

Control: Download the Jaybird APP to access more features. You can register and log into the system normally, and the multiple interfaces are very nice. However, I couldn't enter the Spotify community for listening after choosing personalized sound effects, which was very frustrating! Seeking guidance from experts, thank you for leaving a message! I'll personally experience the free phone consultation service it provides another day.

Water Resistance: I sweat a lot during exercise, so I require earphones to be waterproof and sweatproof. Tarah's waterproof level reaches IPX7, which meets my basic needs. Interestingly, during one workout, the earphones ran out of battery, and I put them in my workout pants pocket and forgot to take them out before throwing the pants into the washing machine. After a 29-minute quick wash, I took them out, charged them, and they still worked perfectly. The waterproof capability is very strong! Otherwise, I would have been heartbroken!

Battery Life: The battery life is about 6 hours. I took more than a month to write the review report mainly to test whether its battery life would gradually shorten with extended use. So far, it's still very good, so I'll give it a thumbs up for now.

Overall Review

As a representative of simplicity and fashion, Tarah can fully meet the musical rhythm pursued in basic running exercises. Its comfort, stability, lightness, and control are all excellent, making it a stylish earphone suitable for daily training and fitness exercises. It will awaken your pure and simple love for running and your immense love and pursuit of a beautiful life!
