compact and sporty new favorite magic wave mifo o5

First of all, I would like to thank Codoon for giving me the opportunity to review this product. I will describe the product objectively and fairly. Please note that this article contains many images, so those with limited data should proceed with caution. The article is mainly divided into the following sections:

1. Unboxing

2. Dimensions, Volume, and Weight

3. Review

4. Summary

I. Unboxing

↓ The outer packaging of the Mifo O5 is white, with an image of the earphones on the front.

As you can see from the picture, the earphones consist of a charging case and two earphones. Since the launch of Apple's Bluetooth earphones, various manufacturers have introduced similar wireless products.

↓ The upper part of the back of the earphones is in English, and the lower part is in Chinese. Please note the large yellow text 'Professional Edition' on the outer packaging.

↓ Some manufacturers use disposable fabric seals, but it seems Mifo did not adopt this design. Please note the seal in the picture below.

↓ The outer packaging of the earphones is covered with a thin plastic film, which prevents water ingress and can be easily wiped clean if it gets dusty.

↓ Upon opening the packaging, I was surprised to see the earphones. I thought the left and right earphones would be placed inside the case.

↓ Inside the O5 box, there are three manuals: a certificate of conformity, an instruction manual, and an earphone introduction.

↓ The instruction manual for the earphones is available in multiple languages and provides detailed instructions on pairing and usage. It is worth noting that the earphones can be used individually as a single earbud.

↓ The earphone introduction mainly highlights the advantages of the earphones. I just skimmed through it and put it aside.

↓ The box also contains ear tips and a charging cable. Unlike other manufacturers that only provide three sizes (large, medium, and small), Mifo offers many ear tips, covering almost all sizes.

↓ The data cable is a standard micro USB cable, which is quite common and was used in early Android phones. The advantage is that you can find a cable almost anywhere.

The charging port of the battery compartment is located in the middle of the right side.

↓ The earphone charging case is wrapped in a plastic bag, which mainly describes the pairing method and usage instructions. Even if you haven't read the manual, the instructions on the bag are sufficient.

↓ The earphone case has a gray design, with the Mifo logo on the front. There are no other markings.

↓ Upon opening the earphone case, you can see the slots for the earphones. If you look closely, you can see the metal contacts inside the slots, which are used for charging the earphones.

↓ Inside the earphone case, there is a line of English text: 'MAKE IT FULLY OPYMAL.' Can anyone explain what this means?

↓ The back of the earphone case is all in English. I can understand the charging requirements for the earphone case in terms of current and voltage.

↓ The earphone contacts have a thin film on them from the factory, presumably to prevent the earphones from discharging due to prolonged exposure to air.

↓ When you remove the ear tips, you can see a silver metal mesh, which is mainly to prevent debris from entering the ear tips.

↓ A photo of the earphones in the charging case. Note that red is for the right ear and blue is for the left ear.

↓ Before concluding this unboxing, please enjoy some beautiful pictures of the earphones.

II. Dimensions and Weight

↓ The earphones are very light, with no noticeable weight when worn. The two earphones together weigh only 9.7 grams.

↓ Due to the lithium battery in the earphone case and its metal material, the case is somewhat heavy, weighing nearly 117 grams.

↓ The length of the earphone case is approximately 76mm, with the width and thickness being similar, around 35mm.

↓ The length of the earphones is 16mm, with the width and thickness being similar, around 20mm. I think this size is close to the limit; any smaller and they might fall into the ear.

↓ A picture of the actual wearing effect. Because the earphones are very small, they are not noticeable when worn unless you look closely.

↓ This concludes this section. Here are some more pictures of the earphones. I hope you like them.

III. Review

1. Earphone Stability

These earphones fit perfectly with the ears. Because they are very light, they do not fall off during running.

2. Waterproof Performance

Since the earphones do not have extra wires that come into contact with the body, sweat from the head does not affect them. In other words, the earphones do not come into contact with sweat, so their waterproof performance is excellent.

3. Battery Life and Charging Time

The earphones come with a charging case that can provide additional power, making their battery life unbeatable. Even if the earphones run low on power, placing them in the charging case quickly replenishes the battery.

4. Sound Quality

After testing, the music reproduction of the earphones is decent. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 5: 3 for bass, 1 for midrange, and 1 for treble. The bass is quite good, but the midrange and treble are average. Compared to other sports earphones on the market, the sound quality is just average.

IV. Summary

↓ Advantages

Small size, attractive appearance, and sufficient battery life.

Good stability; does not fall off during exercise.

Can be used individually for the left or right ear.

↓ Disadvantages

Sometimes one earbud has no sound when listening to music.

It takes some practice to place the earphones correctly in the case; I often place them incorrectly.

Average sound quality.
