codoon x xiaoqiao treadmill: small and beautiful, details show quality
"In the future, it will definitely be small and beautiful. Small does not mean a small market, but a segmented market that meets the needs of a specific group; beautiful means touching users with details."
— Codoon X Xiao Qiao Treadmill, my one-sentence definition
"I ran 5 kilometers on the treadmill today."
"That's impressive."
"Why don't you like running on the treadmill?"
"I always feel that the distance can't be accurately recorded."
Initially, I would endure the extreme heat or cold to go out for a run. It wasn't really about having a lot of willpower; I just felt that if the distance wasn't recorded, it was like the run didn't count. Many treadmills can't accurately record the distance, so I gave up on indoor running.
Until I received this smart treadmill co-developed by Codoon and Xiao Qiao.
In a simple sentence, my review is:"The appearance is simple and elegant, fully foldable for convenience, easy to operate, with obvious size advantages, and it's easy to speed up and slow down."
As a lightweight treadmill, the Codoon X Xiao Qiao treadmill features a very simple design and a relatively light overall weight (okay, it's still heavy; when I moved it from the first floor to the fifth floor, I felt like I was killing myself).
The body size is compact for a treadmill. We know that for an average household, having enough space to place a treadmill is a luxury. (The treadmill isn't expensive, but a square meter of space is really costly.) However, not many families meet this requirement.
The compact size of the Xiao Qiao treadmill meets this 'small' need. The entire machine weighs 43kg and features a minimalist design. The handrails and columns can be folded 90 degrees, making it easy to move. The ultra-thin body of the Codoon X Xiao Qiao treadmill is different from the traditional 'large' concept we have in mind. This treadmill is not just simple; calling it minimalist is not an exaggeration. It's just a running belt and a control belt.
It's easy to place it in a small corner of an office or home. If space is particularly tight, you can fold it up and lean it against the wall when not in use to save maximum space. (After all, we know that many people end up using their treadmills as clothes racks over time.)
The bottom of this treadmill is designed with two wheels, making it easy to move and change its position. The columns and sides can be folded 90 degrees. When you need to run, just loosen the screws on both sides, straighten the frame, and tighten it to start using it.
Eye-catching details
When using a treadmill, I care about two things, which are also the highlights of this treadmill: safety and noise.
1) Safety
(A friendly tip: if you don't live on the first floor, use a mat under the treadmill to avoid complaints from neighbors.)
The control panel is integrated with the treadmill, saving space. The treadmill is equipped with soft rubber suction cups that can securely hold a phone or tablet, making running less boring.
This treadmill has an independent power button that can completely cut off the power when not in use to ensure safety. Simply pull the red magnetic safety lock away from the machine, and the track will stop quickly, greatly enhancing safety.
The handrails are very stable, and the non-slip pedals on both sides of the treadmill are 9cm wide, ensuring that you can safely step on them if you can't keep up with the speed and need to stop.
The sides of the running track have anti-slip strips with three-dimensional textures, featuring classic round granules and vertical stripes, which help maintain the runner's balance.
With a 6-point rubber airbag shock absorption system and silicone base, the stress points are dispersed, so the overall noise is not as loud as expected, which is a pleasant surprise.
One regrettable aspect of this treadmill is that, possibly due to its minimalist design, the lowest point is only 2cm from the ground, and it only has a flat mode without an incline option. Therefore, it lacks the ability to simulate uphill training for some runners.
2) Functionality
Since it's called the Codoon X Xiao Qiao treadmill, it naturally benefits from Codoon's features.
When using the treadmill, you can connect it to the Codoon app on your phone and choose the appropriate training course based on your fitness needs. For example, you can select a treadmill speed challenge course, and during the trial run, you no longer need to manually adjust the speed. The Codoon course will control the Xiao Qiao treadmill to automatically speed up and slow down.
After the course ends, the data will be recorded in real-time on the Codoon app.
I believe that anyone reading this article on Codoon knows that Codoon offers many online race challenges. On weekends, we often see medals we like but can't complete the challenge due to rain outside.
Now, with just a treadmill and the Codoon app, you can experience and challenge various online races at home.
I remember a friend of mine named Xiao Chao Chao, who had a particularly evasive saying: "I'm not in good shape lately. When I run fast, I get tired, and when I'm tired, I get fatigued."
This kind of talk is basically nonsense in the running community. Anyone running at a 3:10 pace will get tired, and running for a long time will naturally make you tired.
As shown in the picture, the leftmost button is the fatigue slowdown.
The principle is as simple as the text. If you feel fatigued during your run, traditional treadmills require you to operate complex buttons manually. For example, you might frantically tap the screen to lower the speed or press pause directly, but we know that an abrupt stop is not good for the body.
When using this treadmill, you only need to press the fatigue slowdown button to switch to walking mode with one click, allowing yourself a cool-down period.
3. Summary
The Codoon X Xiao Qiao smart treadmill aims for high aesthetics and fashion in its design, reducing its size and boldly adopting a foldable design to break the traditional impression of bulky treadmills.
The addition of the Codoon app's features helps alleviate the 'boring and monotonous' stereotype of traditional treadmills. After all, running with competition and goals is much more interesting.
