compact and cute music companion qcy s1 bluetooth earbuds

Music has always played an indispensable role in my life, whether during my school days or later at work. In recent years, with the proliferation of mobile devices and the development of Bluetooth technology, more and more headphone brands have begun to focus on incorporating Bluetooth technology into their products. QCY is one of them. Today, I am fortunate to have their latest product, the QCY S1. Let's see what surprises it brings us.

The white packaging box is simple and straightforward.

The bottom right corner of the packaging box indicates the product name and model.

The back mainly lists some basic parameters and information about the product, making it clear at a glance.

The inner packaging box is even simpler and more rustic, with a raw pulp color and only the product logo.

A commendable feature of the inner packaging box is that once it is torn open, it cannot be reversed, making it obvious whether it has been used.

The packaging uses a zipper-style opening design; just pull one corner to open it.

The inside is designed with compartments, categorizing the headphones, manual, accessories, etc.

It features a double-door design.

All the product packaging is here.

The product includes headphones, two pairs of ear hooks, two pairs of spare ear tips, a charging cable, and a manual.

The headphones are made of silicone material, which is delicate and soft, ensuring user comfort during wear.

Both ends of the headphones have 'L' and 'R' markings to distinguish left and right.

Based on user habits, the right side of the headphones has volume up, volume down, and power buttons.

Additionally, the lower end of the right side has a data cable port for charging and other uses.

The brand logo is designed on both sides of the headphones.

The entire headphone weighs only 12 grams, making it the lightest Bluetooth headphone I have encountered so far.

Let's first talk about how to connect the device to a phone for the first time. (Using an iPhone 7p as the player device)

First, open the phone settings - Bluetooth, press and hold the power button (on/off button) for more than 5 seconds. The QCY-S1 device will appear under other devices at the bottom. Click on it, and it will show as connected. This way, the phone is connected to the headphones.

Bass: The test track is Tsai Chin's 'The Ferry.' In terms of bass, the product performs well. The sound is deep, heavy, and clean but lacks depth. The vocals don't have that gripping feeling, but in terms of instruments, especially guitar, drums, and various DJ music, the performance is quite outstanding, with excellent elasticity that vibrates your eardrums, making you feel like dancing.

Mid-range: I chose songs by Jang Yoon Jeong. The vocals are clear and pure, with good resolution of each note and voice, clear and natural. Whether it's male or female vocals, the heaviness and crispness are vividly expressed, especially in terms of instruments, where the advantages are particularly prominent.

Treble: I chose Vitas' 'Dedication.' Products that can handle this type of song usually perform well. The sound is long and lingering, with the treble rising without breaking, effortlessly.

In terms of battery life, because it is lightweight, the battery is somewhat affected. After fully charging, I used it for a total of 5 hours, with about 40% of the battery remaining, which is quite good.

Another point worth mentioning is that while running, the friction between the headphones and the body and the up-and-down movement of the headphones can cause a 'stethoscope' effect. Of course, this is a common issue with in-ear headphones.

Overall, this product is quite good in terms of weight and sound quality. The 12-gram weight, decent mid, low, and high-frequency performance, and especially its affordable price give it a high cost-performance ratio, making it worth recommending.
