been the pacer 15 times this is the most my running friend has ever been cut off

In March, Wuxi, a water town in Jiangnan, welcomed a vibrant season. Having heard the saying 'Go to Yangzhou in March when the flowers bloom' since childhood, I decided to head north to see the Jiangnan water town and the picturesque scenes of small bridges and flowing water that I had always imagined.

As an official pacer for the 2018 Wuxi Marathon, I was fortunate enough to be selected from the national pacer selection two months ago, giving me the opportunity to participate in the Wuxi Marathon. I am very grateful for everyone's trust and will definitely fulfill my responsibilities as a pacer diligently, acting as a serious and meticulous 'sweeper bunny'.

For runners, the service and dedication of the Hui Pao events are trustworthy and anticipated, making me value and look forward to the Wuxi Marathon even more. As a sweeper bunny, besides precise pacing, I must also be in my best condition to lead everyone to the finish line.

The first in China to introduce personal name badges and pink girly gloves.

The day before the race, pacers took their official photos. I met the legendaryShen Wuzei, who has a million fans (999,000 of Shen Wuzei's fans and the remaining 1,000 are mine). We excitedly hugged and took photos together. Because of our passion, we gathered together, making all the waiting worthwhile.

I got up at 5 a.m. on March 25th.By 6:30 a.m., all the bunnies had gathered. Since the Wuxi Marathon had 30,000 participants, to better serve as moving timers for the runners, pacers for each pace group would start separately. For example, slow bunnies like me started 15 minutes later.

Having been a sweeper bunny 15 times here, let me explain a bit:

1)

All cut-off times refer to the time from the starting gun fired by the organizing committee, not the net time when runners pass through the arch. Therefore, most runners in zones D and E need to catch up to ensure they finish before the cut-off.

For example: If the cut-off time is 6 hours and you pass through the arch 10 minutes after the gun, you only have 5 hours and 50 minutes on the course.

2)

Segment cut-off times are based on Beijing Time. Every 5 kilometers in a marathon has a cut-off time, which is not calculated based on your running time on the course but according to Beijing Time.

For example: If a runner plans to finish in 4 hours but spends 2 hours taking photos in the first 5 kilometers, unfortunately, they will be cut off at the 5-kilometer mark.

This shows that the official sweeper bunny serves as a moving cut-off line. By closely following them, you can ensure you won't be cut off and can finish safely.

The fifth anniversary of the Wuxi Marathon brought us many pleasant surprises.

The first surprise: Sponges!

Can you guess what they were for?

The second surprise: Green rice balls!

Have you ever seen a marathon with green rice balls as course supplies? Do you know what those green rice balls are made of?

The third surprise: Capturing photographer Dai Wuyan!

This photographer, who was delayed by running, reportedly dropped out at 20 kilometers, then diligently picked up his camera and started taking photos near the finish line. Quite dedicated... (Well, for those photographers who think photography is too tiring and want to run a marathon to relax, take this as a warning.)

The fourth surprise: Cherry blossom track!

The Wuxi Marathon, where you can enjoy cherry blossoms while running, made many runners forget their personal best promises while taking photos with the cherry blossoms. (After all, it's rare to run a flower-viewing marathon, and having eyes that want to capture beauty makes the scenery more important than running, haha.)

When we ran into Jiangnan University, the enthusiastic juniors and seniors completely ignited the campus. At this moment, my heart rate rose from 130 to 170. The Wuxi Marathon made me realize that running alone is just running, but running with a group is a carnival.

As sweeper bunnies, we were like the last bus, route 615, heading to the Wuxi Marathon finish line. As the weather got hotter, we kept picking up more people.

In the last 2 kilometers, I saw the most runners being cut off in all my times as a sweeper bunny. Maybe the cherry blossoms were too beautiful, making them forget the time, or maybe the green rice balls were too delicious, filling their stomachs...

In the end, we perfectly reached the finish line within the gun time of 6:15. Embracing the runners who persisted with me all the way, I felt joy for them and regret for those who were just short of finishing but got cut off. However, that's life; with regrets come expectations.

Here, the sweeper guide warmly reminds you: If you feel unwell during the marathon, with unbearable knee pain, dizziness, or cramps, do not push yourself. Always prioritize your health!

We have many more opportunities. When the cherry blossoms bloom again, we will gather once more!

Sincerely thank the Wuxi Marathon and wish it a happy fifth anniversary.

Sincerely thank the event volunteers, security personnel, spectators, and runners from all over the country.

Sincerely thank Hui Pao events for delivering such a perfect marathon.

High-value finisher medals.

Lastly, thank you to Codoon for allowing everyone to read my thoughts.

I am the sweeper guide, the one willing to run the journey with you.

Of course, you can also affectionately call me:

Shenzhen Yu Wenle.

Follow me, and you won't go wrong.
