chinese new year take you home no more lonely journey

If running is a long-lasting romance, then it is the most enduring companion.

As a Garmin enthusiast, receiving the vívoactive 3 on the eve of Valentine's Day and the Spring Festival was the most surprising review I've received so far, bar none.

This time, I received the vívoactive 3 smart sports watch launched by Garmin. The packaging is very simple, containing the vívoactive 3 quick start manual and a USB cable.

I've long admired the ivory white model, which is also very suitable for women to wear. It's simple and fashionable. Up close, the round dial has no Garmin logo on the edge.

When turning it on for the first time, you first select the language, then follow the prompts on the watch to choose the wrist and direction for wearing. You also need to pair it with your phone. Since I already have Garmin Connect on my phone, if you don't, you'll need to install the app first.

The flat heart rate sensor finally won't leave marks on your wrist, and the charging port is reversible, which is great for those who often get the USB plug orientation wrong. There are tutorial videos upon startup, making it easy to get started. The watch is comfortable to wear with a soft strap, and the strap loop has a small protrusion to keep it secure.

The vívoactive 3 has dimensions of 43.4 x 43.4 x 11.7mm, making it slim among smartwatches. I usually wear it on the second or third notch, and it fits wrist circumferences from 125-204mm.

The vívoactive 3 features a 1.2-inch sunlight-readable, semi-transflective display with LCD backlighting, allowing it to function in any lighting condition. The screen is touch-enabled, so the watch has only one button, with the rest of the functions relying on touch and gestures.

Thanks to the touch screen design, the vívoactive 3 can be worn on either wrist and the display orientation can be adjusted. Whether the power button is on the left or right, the watch has a user-friendly operation logic. Garmin has also integrated a Side Swipe touch feature on the non-power button side, making it easier to navigate compared to touch screen swiping.

During two weeks of use, this 43g watch can perform almost any health monitoring you can think of. With a barometric altimeter, compass, and accelerometer, the vívoactive 3 covers everything from simple sedentary reminders and sleep monitoring to activity distance, climbed floors, and high-intensity activity time. Viewing this information is very simple; just scroll up and down.

The heart rate monitor can work 24/7, and the range of detection by the vívoactive 3 is surprisingly extensive. The most impressive feature is its ability to continuously monitor and chart your daily stress levels. As a middle-aged woman who gets extremely stressed during the Spring Festival (you know what I mean), the vívoactive 3 offers a thoughtful app to help reduce stress by following the breathing prompts on the watch.

Before exercising, press the button on the right side of the watch to choose your favorite activities. The vívoactive 3 supports over 15 sports modes, including running, swimming, golf, yoga, stair climbing, skiing, and strength training. Setting up your frequently used sports modes makes them easier to find.

When Valentine's Day and the Spring Festival collide, will you choose to be with your lover or family? As a running enthusiast, we are different; we choose to run, letting love blossom through running.

Press the button on the right and select 'Run.' It takes about a minute to wait for the GPS signal. Press the settings button to enter the settings page, where you can define data pages, alerts, and other functions, similar to other Garmin sports watches. After running, select 'Save Activity,' and you can sync it directly to Garmin Connect via Bluetooth. Since my Garmin Connect account is already linked to my Codoon account, the activity record will also appear in the Codoon app.

As shown in the picture, there are occasional deviations and errors in the route map. However, as a casual sports watch, it is acceptable not to expect 100% accuracy.

For a watch that I can't put down, I hardly ever take it off except for charging. Even while bathing or washing hands, it can be used without worry. If it gets dirty, you can rinse it directly under the faucet. However, avoid using the crown button while submerged, as it can affect the watch's airtightness.

Whether you prefer a simple style or complex data style, you can choose your favorite watch face in Garmin Connect. During use, I mostly stick to one watch face, occasionally switching to others. The data displayed is comprehensive, including time, date, battery level, steps, calories, and a bar chart of historical steps. You can also customize the display content according to your needs.

This watch is no longer just a tool for recording daily health status. Once paired with your phone, it also serves functions such as SMS, app notifications, call answering, and music control. Especially with message notifications, you can click to display them full-screen and scroll through them, eliminating the hassle of unlocking your phone. During holidays, you can spend time with family and friends without constantly looking at your phone.

The vívoactive 3's sports payment feature is my favorite. With this sports watch, you no longer need to carry your phone and wallet while running, which feels fantastic!

This watch, which combines beauty and functionality, makes every second of running and life worth cherishing.
