34 cities 34 matches 34 reviews

2017 started with the Xiamen Marathon, but I still prefer to count from the Lunar New Year, beginning with the Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon on March 12.

· Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon

The first time I was close to death, a runner collapsed just a few meters behind me with a loud noise. It was shocking. Fortunately, they were resuscitated.

· Wuxi Marathon

It started raining less than an hour and a half after the race began. It was cold, windy, and rainy, so I had to run faster. Many runners achieved their personal bests. I met the popular runner, Black Cat.

· Zhengkai Marathon

The course was very straight and rough, with only one turn. I was stationed at that turn.

· Sihong Half Marathon

The scenery was nice, and the course was far from the city. Unfortunately, the race map was drawn incorrectly. After taking photos, I wondered how the runners didn't get lost and managed to return.

· Wuhan Marathon

There was a lot of rain, security, spectators, and positive reviews. Everything was abundant. However, some sections had overly strict security, not allowing anyone near the course.

· Yangzhou Half Marathon

A gold label event, with many participants and wide roads. It was difficult to take photos.

· Nanjing Xianlin Half Marathon

I don't have much impression of it; it was just an ordinary race.

· Dalian Marathon

It was my first time in Dalian. The city was very clean, and the wind was strong. I picked up a finisher's bag at the half marathon finish line but lost it during the transition. I met Xiyan, and after returning, I started running too.

· Qinhuangdao Marathon

I rented a seaside villa near the course with a group of friends. It was the first time I stayed so close to the shooting point. Unfortunately, there wasn't even a place to buy breakfast nearby.

· Lanzhou Marathon

I arrived two days early. I rode a yellow bike for about 70 kilometers, almost covering the entire city of Lanzhou. I stayed near Zhongshan Bridge and took photos on both sides of the bridge.

· Guiyang Marathon

The slopes in Guiyang were tough and almost broke me. I thought I could ride a yellow bike there, but I ended up taking a taxi. The start time in Guiyang was too early; many runners probably started running without fully waking up.

· Liupanshui Marathon

The people of Liupanshui were very enthusiastic. However, I was sunburned for two hours without realizing it, and I peeled several layers of skin afterward. The high-altitude sun is not to be underestimated.

· Harbin Marathon

During the Harbin Food Festival, I had breakfast near the Yangmingtan Bridge. Harbin's food was hearty. Dishes like pork stewed with vermicelli and chicken stewed with mushrooms tasted almost the same. I took many good photos.

· Yantai Changdao Marathon

This was a race that lasted from dawn to dusk. It took four types of transportation to get there: train, car, ship, and walking. I even caught the first day of the ferry price hike. The post-race outdoor banquet was great, but I don't like seafood, so a lot was wasted.

· Wuzhong Marathon

Before the race, I passed through Yinchuan and was warmly received by the committee chairman. There were very few finishers, so few that I almost fell asleep while taking photos. I witnessed something I shouldn't have: spectators lining up to collect wages.

· Taiyuan Marathon

From Wuzhong to Taiyuan. On the train, I met a runner who was doing their first marathon back-to-back from Wuzhong to Taiyuan, which was shocking. I couldn't get used to the local food and almost starved until I found a restaurant serving sauerkraut fish after the Taiyuan race. I ate four bowls of rice with tears in my eyes.

· Beijing Marathon

The capital, the national marathon, glory, Tiananmen, the Bird's Nest.

· Chengdu Marathon

I didn't get to eat Sichuan cuisine. I came and went in a hurry. It was a gloomy marathon, and I captured many bib cheats.

· Shuifu Half Marathon

At the border of Yunnan and Sichuan, the first port of the Yangtze River. A small town where a half marathon requires two laps. The organizers arranged the best hotel for us, for which I am grateful.

· Nanjing Marathon

A marathon at my doorstep. Because I was familiar with it, it seemed quite standard. The entire course was within the city, with excellent scenery and full of sincerity.

· Xi'an Marathon

The most surprising marathon. No one expected the Xi'an Marathon to be so successful. I can't speak for other aspects, but the race pack was abundant, and there were many spectators.

· Shijiazhuang Zhengding Marathon

A seemingly casual marathon, with even the turnaround point added on the spot. From the fiery enthusiasm of Xi'an to the coldness of Shijiazhuang, fortunately, Guirenniao sponsored the marathon and set up a booth at the starting point. Luckily, they sold down jackets, and I had money to buy one immediately. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable. It was rare to have such good weather in Shijiazhuang, with sunshine and blue skies, and I took many good photos.

· Hangzhou Marathon

I am quite familiar with Hangzhou, so it was standard like Nanjing.

· Shaoxing Marathon

I visited the hometown of Wang Xizhi. The weather in Shaoxing was great, perfect for running. The commentary at the finish line was excellent, and I learned a lot from listening for over two hours.

· Shanghai Marathon

There is a speed called Shanghai Marathon. Runners set records, and I significantly increased my number of photos. I met many people in Shanghai.

· Changsha Marathon

The marathon that should not be missed, a race that leaves a lifelong impression. Cold, rain, wind, surviving it is a victory.

· Guilin Marathon

The course was very remote, with the finish line far from the city, almost at the horizon.

· Xiamen Haicang Half Marathon

The shooting point was right outside the dock. It was comfortable to take photos, though there was light rain. Nothing went wrong this year.

· Dongguan Marathon

Asian Championships. During the transition, I accidentally used bicycle mode for navigation and ended up on the shortest route with only one traffic light. It was quite lucky.

· Shenzhen Bao'an Marathon

The weather was great. It was an ordinary race with not much to remember. I queued for three hours at night just to eat beef. Thanks to my Shenzhen friends for the hospitality, but in hindsight, it wasn't worth it.

· Guangzhou Marathon

I was shocked several times. First, by the slogan at the train station: 'Unify the Motherland, Revitalize China.' Second, by the tall blue barriers along the course. Third, by the extensive security measures, which prevented me from even seeing the course. The final hotpot meal was memorable, and I met many popular runners.

· Suzhou Taihu Marathon

There was no expo before the race, just a few booths in a mall distributing race packs. The forecast predicted cold and rain, which worried me. But it didn't happen, and the photo shoot went smoothly.

· Shenzhen Marathon

Cold. I almost froze in Suzhou and nearly froze again in Shenzhen. The last runner, an elderly man, received flowers and an interview amidst a crowd. After everyone dispersed, he made his way to the media center, still holding the bouquet: 'Is there a finisher's bag?' I immediately handed him the finisher's bag I had just obtained. 'Take care.'
