When I received the Bmai Mile 21K lite, it coincided with Bmai's 2nd anniversary. Over the past two years, Bmai has truly embraced sports. Their running shoes, initially designed for 10K to 42K, have gradually become well-recognized products in the running community. This year, Bmai has been updating very quickly. This is my third review of Bmai products this year, from the Mile 42K PRO to the Pace2.0, and now the 21K lite. This series of innovations has amazed me. The 42K PRO is clearly an upgraded version of the marathon running shoe, the Pace2.0 is incredibly lightweight and casual, and the 21K lite is streamlined to the extreme. Unboxing
Following the previous eco-friendly style, the 'airbag' bag packaging is shockproof and crush-resistant. The difference is that while ensuring the product reaches the consumer intact, it also saves some packaging materials by halving the length of the inner airbag.
Appearance
Upon opening the package, a fresh scent of running shoes wafts into the nostrils. The first thing you see is the classic black shoes filled with air bags to prevent deformation from compression. Details
The toe cap features an anti-collision design, providing ample space for the toes without feeling cramped, effectively protecting the toes.
The upper is still made of jacquard mesh, offering good breathability and a comfortable, natural wearing experience.
The PU hot-pressed film and mesh are effectively combined, solving the heat dissipation issue, preventing the mesh from collapsing unattractively, and improving the durability of the upper.
The midfoot upper features 3D printing, giving it a textured and refined look.
The laces are primarily black woven with white ribbons intertwined, forming a flat lace with 3M reflective and anti-slip technology. They are hard and have high friction, preventing the laces from loosening during high-speed activities.
The tongue is connected with mesh on both sides, ensuring it doesn't shift during movement, eliminating a common issue with previous shoes and enhancing the shoe's wrapping performance.
The internal stitching is neat, with the front half of the shoe being as light and comfortable as possible. The foam-filled heel effectively protects the ankle from injury.
The insoles are upturned on both sides to fit the feet, using mature hemp technology for anti-odor and antibacterial properties.
The outsole features a new tread pattern, with the force area having fine lines and the outer area having larger lines, greatly improving the anti-slip performance. On the basketball court, it produces sounds similar to basketball shoes.
The midsole uses EVA for connection and support, reducing weight while providing excellent elasticity.
Field Test
Cement Road Test
The wrapping performance is good, and the laces did not loosen or fall off. The cushioning effect is average. On slightly wet ground, the grip is noticeably stronger than other running shoes, making acceleration easier, but it requires strong waist and leg support. No discomfort was experienced throughout.
Track Test
The forefoot exerts force accurately, with no inward or outward rolling. The steps were very light throughout, and the knees and ankles felt particularly comfortable. The rebound was much better than road running, possibly due to the track material, but it was very enjoyable, and acceleration was also easy.
Casual Test
I took them on a trip during National Day. They were comfortable throughout with no odor, stylish and elegant. The durability is also good. Most importantly, they protect the toes, fit the ankles, and have a striking appearance.
Summary
The Bmai Mile 21K lite is a thoughtfully designed lightweight running shoe. Lightweight is its ultimate definition, suitable for runners with a pace of around 5.5 minutes per kilometer. It is not recommended for those with a large body weight. It is also good for daily casual wear, being breathable, comfortable, and having good heat dissipation and grip.
