Hello everyone, I am Miya. This series records how a cycling novice tours Southeast Asia. The grand title is 'Cycling to Thailand.' Hmm, it could also be called 'How a Rich White Girl Evolved into a Cambodian Refugee,' tears streaming... This is the 7th issue, let's go~

Danang is a city that's hard to define, but I absolutely love it because it has the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. I haven't checked exactly how big, but it's huge.

So I must take a day, put on beautiful makeup, wear gorgeous clothes, and have a fun day.

Slept until 10 AM because the Ferris wheel is in an amusement park, and the park opens at 4 PM, so I went for a swim at the beach at noon.

Thinking of opening WeChat to see if there are any Chinese girls nearby to hang out with, and thenAs soon as I opened WeChat, I was stunned! A magical moment happened! The first person was my friend!!! And she was within 100 meters!!! While I was still in shock, she messaged me, and we marveled at the coincidence, then agreed to meet downstairs.

In surprise, no no no, in magical ecstasy, we arrived at the beach.

Take off!

Come on~ Let's have fun~ After all, we have~ plenty of time~

Let's stir up~ youth~~

Roll around as much as you can~~ time~~

The two 'water dragons' had fun for three hours. She had to bike to Hai Van Pass. After saying goodbye to my friend, I went back to the hotel to shower and dress up, preparing to head to the amusement park.

You must buy a pass for the amusement park, 150 per person, like Beijing's Happy Valley, but much smaller. All the rides are mini-sized, but... no people! It's wonderful, even a solo roller coaster ride is open!

7.jpg

This Ferris wheel is about the same size as the one in Tianjin. Although I'm afraid of heights, I still really wanted to see the rare full night view.

As it slowly rose, my little heart... I could hardly look down, even looking far made me dizzy.

8.jpg

At the highest point, there was wind! Wind! Wind! Blowing so hard I couldn't open my eyes!! Because I'm overweight, I didn't dare move my butt, afraid it would shake more.

After coming down, I planned to ride a mini roller coaster to calm my nerves. When I went, I was the only one again. After I screamed my lungs out, it actually attracted a lot of people! Did I just do free advertising?

The next day, after eating instant noodles, I continued on my journey.

Vietnamese markets are always super lively, selling vegetables, fish, flowers, everything except meals. I really miss the fried dough sticks and soy milk from the morning market~

10.jpg

However, the roads in central Vietnam are really getting better and better.

At noon, I fed some cows by the roadside, feeling quite at ease. Unknowingly, I chatted with it for a long time, talking about work and study. Sigh~ I'm such a chatterbox, not talking for a long time is really hard, I wonder how much the cow understood.

After walking for a while, I got a bit tired and decided to find a place to rest. Just ahead, there was a 'Martyrs' Cemetery.'It was backed by a hill, with no one inside, and a martyrs' monument with a red five-pointed star on it.

14.jpeg

Entering the Martyrs' Cemetery, I took out the 'sushi rolls' and 'snow cakes' I bought at the supermarket yesterday. It was 3:30 PM, thinking if I didn't want to leave after eating, I could set up my tent here.

While eating, I noticed a child peeking at me from the wall. I beckoned her over, and she came to watch me eat... I gave her a piece of snow cake. Where there are children, adults are not far away, so it's appropriate to show some friendliness. She sat next to me with the snow cake, and after finishing, she stared at my Orion pie... Fine, I'll give it to you, maybe your family is watching from afar and will reward me with dinner.

Hmph, call me Little Zhuge~~~~

Sure enough, her grandmother came over with a smile... After we smiled and said hello, I took out a photo of my tent on my phone, pointed to the open space, and told her I wanted to set up my tent here~

She suddenly grabbed her neck with both hands, making a wailing sound, then pointed to that piece of land.

Oh my god! It turns out someone was strangled to death here!~~~ Oh my god~~ What should I do!

I widened my eyes in one go, showing great horror, furrowing my brows, showing great helplessness.

Sure enough!

She pointed to the house across the road, her home. Then she pushed my bike without saying a word and walked away... I had no choice but to 'passively' follow with my bedding.

Call me Little Zhuge again, everything is under my control, wahahaha.

When we arrived at her house, the grandmother started cooking. While she was away, their dog accompanied me to welcome the eldest granddaughter from school, the daughter-in-law returning from shopping, and the son coming home from work. After three rounds of 'surprise,' everyone was there.

Dinner time~~~~

17.JPG

Vietnamese families usually eat sitting on the ground, with rice, wild vegetables, a fish, and a piece of flatbread with chili sauce... spicier than the spiciest!

18.JPG

I really couldn't eat such spicy food, but for politeness, I placed it on the edge of the plate. After dinner, the eldest sister went to wash the dishes. I wanted to help, so I taught the children to draw. My butt isn't tough enough to sit on the ground for long, so I laid out a moisture-proof mat. The little girl despised my mat, threw it aside, and continued drawing. After finishing, wetook the child out to play, and by the waywalked the dog.

What a great drawing talent, not afraid of getting tired, definitely a future great artist!

At night, the eldest sister asked me to sleep on the second floor. After thinking about it, I refused, as I couldn't keep bothering them. I set up my tent in the yard, but their dog kept scratching my tent poles and biting them, so I tied it up. Hmph! Is my tent something you can bite at will? It whined all night, probably complaining about me: It's all your fault, now I'm tied up!

Wangcai, little doggy,I'm sorry...

21.jpg

The next day, I got up early. The eldest sister insisted on treating me to breakfast at the neighboring place before letting me go.

After riding about 30 kilometers, I entered the Hoi An area. Checking the time, it was just around 10 AM.

Everyone says this small city is very similar to Lijiang in China. Iwalked along the river, more and more people appeared, the houses got better, and some Western girlswere walking around with bare legs. Wow, I didn't know where to look... hehehe...

25.jpg

26.JPG

27.jpg

However, in such a 'big city,' I definitely wouldn't set up a tent. I want to enjoy life!
会安地图.jpgQuickly washed my clothes, took a shower, put on makeup, tidied up, and went out to have fun. After all, it's a big city, can't look shabby, put on some face cream, drew my eyebrows, sprayed some perfume, and off I went~

Because I wanted to join a day tour to My Son Valley tomorrow, I first went to the hotel front desk to buy a ticket for early tomorrow morning. Not knowing English didn't matter, I wrote down: 'tomorrow,' then showed the prepared photo of My Son Valley, and asked: 'how much?'

Then she wrote down: xxxx money 08:00----13:30

Done! Just wait for the car at the hotel entrance at 8 AM tomorrow.Off to wander~

The yellow walls are really a feature of Hoi An, not found in other cities. The streets are full of small shops making Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), selling lanterns, sandals, and small cafes everywhere. Because it's an international small city~ so you hear all kinds of languages, birds chirping everywhere...

32.JPG

33.JPG

Don't go back to the hotel too early in the evening in Hoi An, follow the river and you'll find street food and trinket stalls, so rich and colorful.

34.JPG

By the river near the Japanese Bridge, there are many people selling floating paper lanterns, you can buy two or three for one yuan.

35.JPG

36.JPG

Bought two and let them float down the river, closed my eyes and started to make a wish:

I hope I get richer~ I hope I get more beautiful~
I hope I get richer~ I hope I get more beautiful~
I hope I get richer~ I hope I get more beautiful~
I hope I get richer~ I hope I get more beautiful~

To be continued...
