My name is Zhou Ziwei, but you can also call me Gege (Codoon nickname@GreenHulk_Gege), a true Beijing girl. Perhaps my parents hoped I would be a lady, which is why they gave me such a gentle-sounding name.

But I was born unable to be as gentle and serene as Ziwei Gege. I like to be playful, laugh, and stay active like Xiaoyanzi.

So when it came time to choose my university major, I stubbornly put Beijing Sport University as my first choice. Despite my family's objections, I finally got into the university I had always dreamed of. During my four years in college, I started working out and got into boxing. I love the feeling of sweating and wanted to become stronger.

Speaking of fitness, my journey wasn't smooth. The challenges I faced were different from others. I've seen many people go through extreme hardships and sweat to lose weight, but I went through countless struggles to gain weight and restore my health.

Regretting my extreme dieting

I remember after finishing the college entrance exam, I finally relaxed from the intense preparation and had time to hang out with my friends. At that age, we were like flowers in bloom, free to choose any clothes we liked at the mall. Most girls, having finished the exams, focused on looking pretty, and I was no exception.

To look more beautiful and slimmer, and to wear clothes better, I joined many of my friends on the path of extreme dieting, always hoping to weigh less and less. Methods like fasting, diet pills, and induced vomiting were frequently used, and my weight kept dropping as I wished. At my lowest, I weighed only 51.4kg! Some might think it's not too bad since it wasn't below 50kg, but I'm a girl who is 178cm tall. Do you understand what that means?

The brief joy of losing weight was followed by prolonged suffering. My body underwent significant changes during the weight loss process.

I once scored full marks in the physical test for the college entrance exam, but during my first-year PE class, I took 5 minutes to complete a 400-meter lap, mostly walking because I couldn't catch my breath after a few steps. This was a huge embarrassment for a student at Beijing Sport University. Some classmates even questioned my physical test scores, which made me very depressed and unable to participate in many training sessions.

After nearly two months of this low period, watching my classmates' progress in training, I decided to make a change. I started seriously studying knowledge about muscles and bones, figuring out how to improve my condition, and practicing on myself. During that time, the gym became my base, and the treadmill and track became my best friends. Gradually, I could run 1km, then 2km, and by the time I was about to start my internship in my third year, I could easily run 10km. After four years of college, my weight finally returned to a normal level—60kg.

Turning fitness into a career

Through four years of continuous learning and training in college, I realized the damage caused by my extreme dieting and the benefits of scientific exercise and fitness. Every drop of sweat I shed during those four years was worth it. The hard work paid off, and seeing the changes in my physique and stamina filled me with joy. My aesthetic appreciation for body shapes also changed; I no longer pursued stick-thin legs but admired fitness enthusiasts with muscular lines.

After graduating from university in 2012, my parents insisted I take up a clerical job. In their minds, that's what a girl should do—find a stable job and work in an office. After a year of following their wishes, I decided to follow my own heart and obtained a senior personal trainer certificate from Asia Fitness, turning fitness into my career.

During my three years working in the gym, I studied and learned about fitness more systematically and comprehensively. By chance, I discovered that combining fitness and boxing could create a unique spark. To throw stronger and faster punches,I once again studied every muscle and bone seriously. This field is like an endless ocean, always offering unexpected discoveries.

Architect, fitness trainer—same pronunciation but completely different jobs. Your body structure is like a blueprint, and you are the architect. Inside you often resides a faster, stronger, and more powerful self. If you can master your skeletal structure, muscle structure, and the principles of exercise mechanics, you can build the strongest body.

In 2015, after years of learning and accumulating knowledge, I decided to put my ideas into action and founded Show Me Fitness Studio. Show Me is a fitness studio themed around boxing. Here, I continuously sculpt myself while helping others create a better version of themselves through various methods like squats, back exercises, bench presses, and boxing. We constantly spread our fitness philosophy to more people!

Two years later, I decided to open a second club based on our philosophy. It will be different from Show Me Fitness Studio. 'SHOW ME Bodybuilding Boxing Sports Factory' will be the perfect combination of boxing and fitness. Here, I will put into practice the ideas I've accumulated over the years. I love sports, fitness, and boxing. Sports are my life and my work.

I also thank the Codoon platform for allowing me to meet so many fitness enthusiasts, giving me inspiration and opportunities for mutual exchange. Participating in activities through Codoon has shown me the passion our studio's unexpected friends have for fitness. I also thank the Codoon platform for providing a place for so many muscle enthusiasts to interact.

This is me, the tireless fitness trainer, Gege.
