The results of the 2017 Beijing Marathon lottery have finally been announced today!
Undoubtedly, the runners who got selected are overjoyed.
While those who didn't get selected are feeling helpless and disappointed.
In 2017, the Beijing Marathon had a total of98,687registrants.
This is an increase of33,884people compared to last year.
Once again setting a new record for marathon registrations in China.
Although nearly 100,000 people registered to participate,
there are only30,000spots available.
This means that more than two-thirds of the runners will not be able to participate in the Beijing Marathon.
The chances of getting selected might be even lower than getting a train ticket during the Spring Festival travel rush.
As the saying goes, "He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man."
Similarly, if you haven't run the Beijing Marathon, your running career can't be considered perfect.
The Beijing Marathon is not just a top-tier event for the capital,
it also carries the prestigious title of "National Marathon."
Having been around for 37 years,
this year it has also become the first leg of the Asian Marathon Majors.
It has become the only dual Grand Slam event in China.
