bimai pace2.0 jogging shoes stylish versatile and playful
Hi everyone, I am Go Shuai Dan, the more I run, the better I feel. First of all, I would like to thank Codoon for giving me the opportunity to review the Bmai Pace 2.0 casual running shoes. Compared to other running enthusiasts, I am a newcomer with only ten months of running experience. So, I am especially grateful to Codoon's gear team for trusting me, giving me an opportunity, encouragement, and motivation. I will keep running, regardless of the pace, just like Bmai's philosophy: every step is a surpassing!
Codoon and Bmai merchants are quite efficient. Shortly after I submitted my delivery information, I received the package and got the running shoes I desired. Its outer packaging is bling bling, very impressive. It's simple yet environmentally friendly, practical, and can protect our shoes well during transportation.
These running shoes combine fashion, casual, and sports elements, with orange-red as the main color, featuring a gradient jacquard mesh structure. The overall design feels very lightweight and eye-catching. The upper uses seamless hot-press technology combined with jacquard mesh fabric, providing breathability and comfort. It also features an IP outsole that directly contacts the ground, with water ripple bending grooves, making it lightweight and easy to bend. The built-in functional insoles are moisture-wicking, quick-drying, antibacterial, and deodorizing, offering a lighter and more breathable wearing experience for casual sports enthusiasts.
On July 28th, I received the running shoes and started the field testing mode. During this review, I chose different venues and methods for testing, including running, hiking, and casual mountain climbing, totaling 7 times.
1. Running Experience
The first test run was a 5-kilometer night run at the sports field, with a pace of 6:25. I walked 6 kilometers back and forth. Initially, there was no stiffness that usually comes with new running shoes. The shoes are very light, with good wrapping and grip. However, due to my different foot sizes and wider feet, my left little toe felt a bit squeezed and slightly uncomfortable.
The second test run was a 14-kilometer morning run on the road, on a cement surface. I wanted to challenge the GPS graffiti contest 4.1 track, so I alternated between walking and running. The dashed parts were not counted in the pace, which was 6:45. The rough and uneven cement surface caused minimal wear on the soles. My left little toe still felt squeezed, but the pain was within an acceptable range. This might be due to the new shoes, and I estimate it will get better after some more break-in time.
The third test run was another 5-kilometer night run at the sports field. I initially planned a morning run, but it started raining shortly after I began, so I completed 2 kilometers in the rain and then stopped. I resumed the 5-kilometer test in the evening, with a pace of 6:09. Overall, running on the rubber track, the shoes had good rebound, and with a good state, the pace could be improved significantly.
The fourth test run was a 10-kilometer road run with a pace of 7:11. The weather was too hot, making it hard to run energetically. After multiple break-ins, the shoes felt much more comfortable. The breathability was good, and the shoes did not get sweaty or produce any odor.
2. Hiking Experience
The first hike was 12 kilometers, following my usual running route. It started raining before I could go further, which I feared the most, worrying about slippery wet roads. But my worries were unnecessary; these shoes indeed provided a sense of security. Walking was steady, and there was no slipping, with excellent grip.
The second hike was 16 kilometers with fellow runners in a park, a more casual walk on cement, dirt, and tile roads. Overall, the shoes were still good, comfortable to wear, without causing toe pain, black toenails, or blisters. These are concerns for many running enthusiasts.
3. Mountain Climbing Experience
A casual 6-kilometer mountain climb. The mountain was not high, so the slope was not steep, but the mountain path was difficult, especially downhill. Having climbed a few times, I felt that ordinary shoes easily slip. My previous sports shoes would slip easily when descending. This time, wearing the Bmai Pace 2.0, I felt secure going downhill. The most impressive feature of these shoes is their strong grip, providing a great sense of security.
4. Summary
Advantages:
Overall, these running shoes are fashionable, eye-catching, and easy to match. They are suitable for jogging, casual hiking, and mountain climbing. Their strong grip allows you to walk confidently on slippery roads and run freely.
Disadvantages: The toe box is relatively narrow, so those with wide feet like mine should buy one size larger. The shoelaces tend to come loose during running, so I suggest improving the shoelaces.
