aidibo running shirt worth the wait

As an entry-level badminton enthusiast, seeing Adibo's running apparel is quite surprising. However, on second thought, it makes sense. After all, it's a brand from Taiwan, and to achieve 'continuous praise,' a more diversified approach is necessary.

Previously, most people might have associated Adibo with badminton rackets and shoes, with little attention given to their clothing. As a result, their exclusive Aikoo technology is not well-known. Simply put, it uses angled fiber mesh grooves to channel sweat out of the body, combined with the quick-drying properties of polyester fibers, ensuring a fast-drying and comfortable experience during exercise.

Unboxing and Appearance

You might expect me to document the entire unboxing process, but unfortunately, I accidentally tore the bag while opening it (you can understand my eagerness to wear the apparel). So, my unboxing turned into an appearance introduction. Besides the basic cardboard and outer plastic bag, there isn't any special packaging, which I think is completely unnecessary.

The first impression of this apparel is that it's very understated, with only this blue color, which seems a bit out of place compared to the mainstream bright red and green running clothes. Unfortunately, my running shoes have always missed out on blue, otherwise, I would have been delighted to match them with this blue top.

Although the back of the neck boldly features a contrasting color design, it still gives off a low-key vibe.

If we observe this garment closely, we might notice its unique features. Firstly, its logo uses a three-dimensional embossed design, giving it a textured look. Secondly, the stitching is quite exquisite, providing a comfortable wearing experience. The underarm area, which sweats a lot, uses a different stitching method to facilitate better sweat wicking.

Of course, if I had to nitpick, it would be the limited color options, which restrict choices. Additionally, I couldn't find any large reflective strips after searching for a while. Perhaps this garment wasn't specifically designed for night running but for everyday wear.

Wearing Experience

Upon first touch after unboxing, it feels soft and thick, unlike typical running T-shirts. Wearing it, the overall design is quite fitting, likely thanks to the stitching design. Taiwanese craftsmanship is commendable.

Of course, for someone with a larger build like me, it might not be a perfect fit, as everyone's body shape is different. Personally, I find it to be a loose version of a slim design. (Seeing the photos, I've decided to start losing weight.)

I noticed that if you leave the garment in an air-conditioned room for a while, it becomes very cool, providing a good cooling effect when worn. Due to its comfort, I've made it a staple for home wear. (Seeing the photos, I realize that losing weight is urgent.)

Actual Testing

Due to continuous high temperatures and occasional heavy rain, many regular exercise plans were disrupted. Additionally, after accidentally injuring myself, my exercise volume decreased. So, I gradually adopted the MAF180 method for recovery training.

During actual use, I could feel that while maintaining comfort, its dry experience was quite good. Generally, thin polyester fibers stick to the skin after sweating, causing a sticky feeling. With the continuous high temperatures, the increased sweat volume makes most running clothes stick to the skin, making night runs feel like running naked. However, with this running apparel, the sticky feeling was not as strong.

After exercising, which is usually the period of maximum sweating, I paid special attention to it during stretching. Adibo's clothing has a significant quick-drying effect. After stretching for about ten minutes post-run, the garment no longer felt particularly sticky, and the quick-drying effect was impressive.

Summary:

This running apparel, or rather, daily sportswear, is quite good. Its excellent sweat-wicking and quick-drying performance and comfort make it suitable for various occasions. Of course, some details like the lack of night running features or the addition of breathable mesh might be my nitpicking. As a Taiwanese company that started with badminton, if they can perfect the details for running, wouldn't it be worth looking forward to?
