craft running vest review

As the weather gets hotter, the scorching summer is approaching. When the heat arrives, most people first think of ice-cold watermelon and air conditioning. However, in the face of the heat, engaging in moderate exercise and arranging a reasonable schedule is the conscientious way to live.

For fitness enthusiasts and sports lovers, summer is a particularly torturous season. Even early morning workouts don't provide a cool and comfortable feeling.

Stepping into the sports field, most people are already drenched in sweat just standing there, let alone engaging in intense exercise.

I was fortunate to participate in the evaluation activity for the Codoon Craft running vest and was lucky to get this evaluation opportunity. While eagerly waiting for the vest to arrive, I also became curious about the 'Craft' brand.

After some research, I found out that the company is one of the more than 20 brands under the New Wave Group, founded in Sweden in 1977. Initially, it produced functional underwear for Swedish Royal Air Force pilots. Later, this very unique fiber fabric was continuously improved and proven to have excellent sweat-wicking performance during intense exercise, maximizing body comfort. By the late 1970s, it was applied to various winter skiing projects and achieved great success. Today, Craft sports underwear has been successfully used in a wider range of sports, such as football, basketball, running, orienteering, cycling, and also in many leisure activities like sailing, hunting, and hiking.

A company with decades of sports technology naturally has impressive strength. Moreover, the fact that the company once produced functional underwear for royal pilots made me even more interested in this vest.

1. Packaging Configuration:

I received the package with a face full of joy.

After returning home, I opened the package. Inside the simple bag printed with CRAFT was the running vest, along with a detailed certificate of conformity and an anti-counterfeiting label.

2. Appearance Parameters:

I applied for the CRAFT brand Focus running vest, item number: 1903955, color: stunning orange, size: 160/84A.

3. Main Body of the Sportswear:

The design appears delicate and elegant. The tight top and loose bottom design make the garment very close-fitting yet comfortable. The back curve design conforms to the shoulder blades, ensuring lightness and breathability.

The front color is stunning orange, which is quite close to red and indeed very striking.

The back color is themed speed orange, which is lighter and complements the front color, making it very pleasing.

4. Details of the Sportswear:

The stitching is extremely fine, with no loose threads, greatly enhancing comfort and convenience. Additionally, as a sports vest, the good elasticity is crucial for accommodating the upper body's range of motion during exercise. Pulling the neckline and shoulder straps hard does not cause any deformation, loose threads, or loss of elasticity.

The back hollow design is uniform, achieving good breathability without being see-through.

The unique three-color splicing design is particularly slimming.

The front logo is reflective, evenly coated, and very delicate.

The meticulous stitching and the reflective ring on the back are suitable for night running.

5. Wearing Experience:

The upper body effect is excellent, tightly wrapping the body yet very elastic, without any sense of restriction. The upper body shows a first-class curve effect. The color combination of speed orange and stunning orange is particularly slimming, making me feel rejuvenated, instantly ten years younger!

6. Road Running Test:

Test time: 2017/7/22 morning, weather: sunny, temperature: hot

Location: Zhoushan Forest Park, Luoyang City, Henan Province

Zhoushan Forest Park covers a large area, and the roads have steep slopes, with many slopes exceeding 30 degrees, making it very difficult for bicycles to climb. It is quite a challenge for road running enthusiasts.

Running a lap at a fast pace was quite challenging.

The entire course was mostly uphill and downhill.

Post-run summary: After running, my face was very sweaty, and my body sweated a lot. The vest's sweat absorption and wicking effect were excellent. Although it was tight on the body, there were no sweat marks.

7. Sports Field Sprint Test:

Test time: 2017/7/24 morning, weather: sunny, temperature: hot

Location: Sports Field, West Campus, Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang City, Henan Province

Compared to the road run two days ago, today's sports field sprint was in even hotter weather.

Post-run summary: After running, my face was extremely sweaty, and my body sweated a lot. The vest's sweat absorption and wicking effect were good, with only slight sweat marks near the underwear area, which dried completely in about 10 minutes.

8. Analysis of Special Sweat-Wicking Performance:

As the saying goes, true gold fears no fire. Whether something is really good can only be proven through testing.

During the sports field sprint, due to the very hot weather, I was drenched in sweat after just a couple of laps. However, the CRAFT running vest remained firm. From the pictures, you can see sweat beads hanging from my neck, while the vest remained dry.

I also included a comparison picture with my running group sisters. You can clearly see that my sister's clothes were soaked, with only a small dry area on the back, while the CRAFT running vest was completely dry.

9. Running Group Activity Show:

Today, the running group held a Codoon monthly charity run. I specially wore the CRAFT running vest to participate and received a lot of attention from my sisters. They all inquired about the details of the vest, recognizing its quality and wanting one for themselves.

I instantly became the focus of everyone.

After a series of evaluations, it is clear that the CRAFT running vest's many advantages, such as lightness, breathability, quick-drying, and close-fitting comfort, are hidden beneath its glamorous exterior.

Compared to ordinary sports shirts and most sports vests, the technological advantages are obvious. Coupled with the delicate and soft feel, exquisite stitching, and thoughtful design details, it is a rare and excellent vest. You get what you pay for, and good products are meant to be worn.
