are you throwing thousands of gold on the runway
A regular trip can be 'taking your dreams, following the wind, and going whenever you want,' but running a marathon is no small feat!
During a marathon trip, it's inevitable to encounter some expected expenses that will make your wallet 'bleed,' such as registration fees, hotel costs, transportation costs, and equipment costs... Not to mention the 'Six Major Marathons' where the registration fee alone can be thousands of yuan. Just think about the marathon expo before the race; can you resist the custom-made gear for the marathon? After running, your whole body aches, and you want a massage that costs hundreds of yuan; doesn't your heart ache too? No wonder some Codoon friends say, 'I haven't even run 42K, but I've already spent 42K.'

Have you ever 'spent a fortune' on the marathon road?
Let's first look at the opinions of other runners:

@Huang Xiaoxiao's Xin:
I went to Australia to run a marathon with my husband. I planned all the registration, visa, tickets, and itinerary. Later, my husband said in a chat that since then, he has trusted my planning abilities immensely. Now, whenever I want to run a marathon abroad, he supports me in every way, even if it's the most expensive London Marathon, as long as I can secure a spot.

@Xin Shao VAI:
I love running marathons with friends. My friends and I enjoy trying new things and are particularly interested in cities with unique cuisines. Currently, we choose marathon cities based on where flights can take us. We've run in the northwest and in Shanghai. The most expensive time was when we decided to run a marathon, and our parents wanted to come along to watch and travel. We took three families with us; it was exhausting! Planning the trip beforehand, my dad always had something to nitpick, but once we made the decisions, he was more enthusiastic than anyone... We haven't been abroad yet; is the sky bluer there? I need to see it to know. I plan to run a marathon abroad once I get the chance. Why do I work? To have money to travel and run marathons!

@Old Lan Loves Running:
My first marathon was in a nearby city, and I went alone. I made very detailed plans. First, I booked the room and flight almost two months in advance to get the cheapest trip, and it was the closest to the starting point, just a few hundred meters away. I also researched the food because I didn't want to have an upset stomach on race day. Overall, it went very smoothly, cost little, and I fulfilled my marathon dream. However, I plan to go to a bigger city next time to experience the marathon atmosphere, and I'll go with a few running friends to cheer each other on. It should feel very different. No matter what, running a marathon is a beautiful beginning.
Guiyang Marathon: Cost for one person 500 RMB
This issue's question:
What did you spend the most on during your marathon trip? (excluding equipment costs)
Of course, some unexpected good things can happen too!
For example, the ongoing Codoon#RunAroundTheWorld#Experience Center has prepared the most luxurious and beautiful races globally, with a free spot for the IAAF Gold Label Sydney Marathon worth 30,000 yuan, including airfare and accommodation.
