Treading on the hot soil of North China, I ran 20,000KM to shape my life.

@Sun Lanshengsaid: 'There are always one or two things in life that make people go crazy. Yesterday, I just finished a 100-kilometer run, which is the craziest thing I've done so far. The happiest thing in the world is when, after some effort, everything slowly turns into what you want.'

Many people may gradually give up on exercise due to the pressures of study and work. Even during the busiest times at work, I never abandoned running and fitness. In my residential community, people often called me a fitness expert. But at that time, I never thought about running a marathon. 42.195km seemed like an unattainable distance, and running a marathon alone felt too lonely and misunderstood.

It might have been my encounter with Codoon that led to my addiction to running, completing full marathons, and just yesterday, daring to challenge and finish a 100km run.

Starting as a 10km runner, I finally signed up for my first full marathon in Codoon's online event: the Bangalore Online Marathon.

At 2:30 in the morning, I couldn't sleep. After warming up downstairs, I set off under the moonlight. Under the yellow streetlights, my shadow stretched long. The early winter days were not too cold, making it easy to run without sweating. The first 25 kilometers felt easy, but by 30 kilometers, my steps became heavy, and I regretted bringing too little water. As the eastern sky gradually brightened, I had already run more than half, so I gritted my teeth and persisted. Every kilometer felt so long, as if it didn't want me to hear the time.

By 7 o'clock, I saw my familiar workplace. I walked the last two kilometers, completing my first full marathon in 4 hours. Exhausted, I slept for half the morning.

In the spring of 2016, as the weather warmed and I shed my heavy winter clothes, I joined my first favorite running group on Codoon. My weekly running data was always among the top, and seeing everyone's likes made me feel quite proud. This rekindled my desire to participate in an offline marathon.

April 17th was the day of the Beijing Spring Long Run Festival. With intense pre-race preparations, I was finally going to start in the capital with over 20,000 running enthusiasts from 22 countries. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep at night and arrived at Tiananmen at 4 am, three hours before the race started. I was also fortunate to witness the flag-raising ceremony in the square.

Finally, the race began. The dense crowd made the wide Chang'an Avenue seem crowded. The route passed through Tiananmen, Jianguomen, the Moat, Yonghe Temple, and the Yuan Dynasty City Wall Ruins, allowing runners to experience the historical depth of Beijing. The route also passed the most influential landmarks in Chinese sports history—the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. Near the end of the race, we even ran a lap inside the Bird's Nest, experiencing the passion of an Olympic track.

I finished in 1 hour, 31 minutes, and 12 seconds. Out of such a large crowd, I ranked 196th, and 19th in my age group. I was so happy that I almost jumped for joy. I immediately received a flood of likes from my friends and the sports circle. My company's news website also reported my marathon achievement.

Later, I participated in the Beijing Full Marathon, the Great Wall Marathon, the Beijing Long Run Festival, and other events. Yesterday, I finally achieved my 100-kilometer goal with a time of 12 hours and 40 minutes. Now, my Codoon running distance is 21,355km, and I have earned 90 electronic badges, including 8 full marathon medals and mostly half marathon medals.

I often send my race completion information to my daughter, hoping to demonstrate persistence and perseverance through my actions. I hope she can face challenges head-on and move forward bravely in her studies. A few days ago, my daughter called to tell me about her 800-meter test in her second year of middle school. She asked me to guess her time. I said 3 minutes and 40 seconds. She excitedly told me it was 3 minutes and 12 seconds, with a full score being 3 minutes and 28 seconds. I was very pleased, feeling that I had a subtle influence on her. My daughter's QQ space even has an album dedicated to me, full of pictures of my good running results. She named the album: 'Dad Who Loves Sports.'

Long-distance running is tedious and boring, but it brings a sense of satisfaction and achievement when used to surpass limits and break through oneself. If you work hard, it's a dream; if you give up, it's a delusion. Thanks to Codoon for letting me experience such great joy and self-satisfaction in running. Running on the hot soil of North China, marathon running has long since become a part of my life.

Thank you to all Codoon users in North China for your enthusiastic submissions.
