bimai 42k running shoes wear and run this is best
Bmai has always been a running shoe brand that I respect and love. Over the past year, I have mostly worn the Bmai Mile series for my regular training and races. The Bmai 42K is a professional road running shoe specifically designed by Bmai for marathon training and races. It is particularly designed for a pace of 5:30 per kilometer, which happens to be my personal best marathon pace. So, I was very excited and had high expectations when I received the Codoon Bmai 42K for review.
[Packaging and Appearance]
● Packaging: Two inflatable eco-friendly plastic bags (inner and outer bags; the outer bag has a handle). The inflatable strips have enough anti-compression performance. This is the first time I encountered shoes without a cardboard box. Seeking innovation, they didn't even spare the packaging. Isn't that impressive?
● Product details: Bmai Mile 42K, model number: XRMC005, cool black, size 43.
First impression: High-end and quite cool.
[Review Schedule]
The early summer weather this year was too hot, so for safety reasons, I mainly did medium-distance runs, including eight 10-kilometer training runs, one half-marathon training run, and other short-distance training runs. My weekly mileage was around 80 kilometers.
[Review Feedback]
● Comfort and Fit: The Bmai Mile series running shoes can be worn for running right out of the box, with no need for a break-in period. The 42K is no exception and performs exceptionally well. The shoe last technology suits the foot shape of Chinese people, with a one-piece upper design (no stitching), high-elastic foam collar for stable wrapping, a 9mm heel-to-toe drop, and a four-density EVA midsole, making the foot fit snugly in the shoe. It is very comfortable, with a moderately soft sole that feels like walking on cotton. I like it so much that I've been wearing these shoes to work and on the street.
● Support and Stability: The Bmai Mile series running shoes have always been known for their high stability and support. In the 42K, the anti-pronation design on the inner side of the midsole, the three-dimensional heel stabilizer, and the X-shaped dynamic midfoot TPU support structure further optimize stability, especially noticeable when running fast on uneven roads.
● Rebound and Cushioning: The 42K has made significant progress in this area, mainly through the four-density midsole and TPU midfoot support structure, which alleviate impact and protect the knees. This advantage is particularly evident when compared to other brands.
● Breathability: The seamless PU film process combined with jacquard mesh fabric makes the shoe lightweight and highly breathable.
● Anti-slip and Durability: The new outsole pattern combined with wear-resistant rubber provides quick ground grip and is lightweight.
● Speed Performance: Weighing about 300 grams, the outsole uses lightweight rubber, the forefoot metatarsal force area has a high-density insole, the four-density high-rebound midsole, and the midfoot TPU support structure make the 42K easy to exert force, with considerable speed performance, suitable for high cadence rhythm without lag. I have run at a pace of just over 4 minutes per kilometer, and it was quite powerful.
● Night Reflectivity: In addition to the exclusive 42.195 reflective lettering on the heel, the 42K's 3M reflective anti-slip laces are also very eye-catching.
● Design and Color: The black and white combination is low-key and simple, exuding extraordinary style. I particularly like this cool black!
[Review Suggestions]
In the current product review, no obvious shortcomings were found. The 42K is indeed very well-made. I hope that in the development of the next flagship running shoe, within the cost range, they can consider using a drawstring design like the new professional racing shoes from Nike, so that this feature can be applied to mass-market running shoes.
