a ye all terrain running shoes the most authentic experience
Thanks to Codoon's Xiao Dang for giving me the opportunity to review the AYE All-Terrain shoes. I apologize for the delay in this review report due to various reasons. However, with the passage of time, my understanding of the AYE All-Terrain has deepened. I hope this review report can provide everyone with the most intuitive feelings and references.
First, let's introduce the history of AYE: there is no history, it's a brand-new brand! It's hard to imagine that a brand created from scratch would launch its first pair of shoes as running shoes, and all-terrain running shoes at that. Well, this is the confidence of AYE!
Unboxing
The unboxing was unremarkable. Having had review experience before, I was sure that within the next half month, there would be a surprise waiting for me. However, this surprise came a bit quickly; I received the shoes within a week. What touched me was that the shoe size was correct, but unfortunately, the color was not what I wanted...
Fortunately, AYE's appearance is high enough. For someone like me who has already collected all the colors of running shoes, accepting blue running shoes is undoubtedly another challenge. For this, I thank AYE. Let's look at the appearance...
Appearance
From the appearance, all-terrain shoes must have off-road performance, so the AYE soles give a very heavy feeling. However, overall, they don't seem heavy, mainly because the upper design is relatively light, offsetting the heavy feeling of the thick sole. The overall weight of the shoes is not as heavy as imagined and can be considered normal. The rib-like midsole design gives a novel feeling. Whether it adds points or not depends on the actual running experience.
I ran with AYE five times: four times for 10 kilometers and once for 5 kilometers, spanning nearly a month. Ten kilometers on hard ground, 35 kilometers on asphalt. No mountain or rubber tracks, but I think this is enough. Let other reviewers test the mountains and rubber tracks.
Cushioning and Support
It's a bit difficult to describe AYE's cushioning and support performance after 45 kilometers of running. From the first hard ground run where my left ankle hurt to the subsequent normal runs, AYE can at least maintain an hour of normal foot rebound on a conventional marathon track. Due to the different time spans of this review, the rest periods for the running shoes also varied. Overall, the ground cushioning performance was stable in each run. Although it didn't have the legendary 'stepping on poop' feeling, the cushioning could be felt throughout, which I think is a conscientious design for long-distance running shoes.
Speaking of support, we have to mention AYE's unique design theme: supporting the whole body and protecting important organs, the ribs have 12 pairs, symmetrically arranged. The designer applied this rib structure to the sole, keeping the sole balanced horizontally and preventing it from tilting from one side to the other while absorbing shocks and enhancing walking power.
Sole Structure: Rebone Framework:
1. Surface Layer: Maintains the shoe shape and absorbs initial ground shocks. (Material: Phylon)
2. Middle Layer: The cyclic cross-rib structure provides strong load-bearing and elasticity. The suspended layer effectively cooperates with the user's walking style and promotes shock absorption. (Material: Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomer 'TPU')
3. Insole: Absorbs secondary shocks from the ground. (Material: Phylon)
4. Outsole: Eliminates unnecessary redundant parts, adopts patterns to prevent slipping and repeated wear, optimizing and reducing the overall weight of the shoe. (Material: Rubber)
Summary
Overall: Although AYE All-Terrain Running Shoes are a new brand with a new design, they are already striving to fit modern life. As an amateur running enthusiast, from an economic perspective, a pair of running shoes that can adapt to all terrains saves money; secondly, from a selection perspective, there's no need to worry about what shoes to wear for various competitions; thirdly, these shoes are really good-looking.
Performance-wise: AYE All-Terrain Running Shoes show both softness and toughness on roads and hard ground. The cushioning and support performance are moderate, neither humble nor pushy, with lasting cushioning and rebound supporting long-distance running needs. Considering the waterproof performance of the upper for off-road, the breathability is not as good as road running shoes but meets the overall breathability and partial insulation efficiency, protecting the runner's feet and ankle stability.
Finally, I apologize again for the delayed review report! I hope this review report can help some friends make their choice.
