The M1 box has a lot of damping, making it difficult to open.
Contents of the M1 player package: four screen protectors (two for the front and two for the back), the M1 player, a manual, a warranty card, a card reader, a dust plug for the earphone jack, and a USB to Type-C cable.
The power button is on the right side, long press to power on/off or to light up/lock the screen.

The earphones use high-efficiency lithium polymer batteries, which are safer and more stable. They have a standby time of 240 hours, can talk for about 10 hours, and play music for about 8 hours on a full charge. In my test, they played continuously for 6 hours and still had power, making them the longest-playing Bluetooth earphones I've used.
For a long time, Bluetooth has been limited by its available bandwidth, making it unsuitable for transmitting high-quality audio formats. The 1MORE iBFree Bluetooth earphones use a CSR Bluetooth chip with aptX® codec technology, which significantly reduces the bit rate without affecting sound quality or causing delays. While sound quality is subjective, I did not notice any distortion during my test. The earphones also feature aerospace metal composite diaphragms for natural and smooth high-frequency extension, rich details, full midrange, and solid bass, ensuring a balanced and transparent listening experience. Therefore, I believe Shanling's choice of earphones is not the worst.
The integrated line control is made of high-grade plastic with no gaps between the buttons. The internal Bluetooth module has a nano waterproof coating, providing IPX4 sweat and splash resistance, protecting the internal circuit board for safer use. The line control buttons have a Q-elastic touch design, making them easy to use and durable.
IPX is the international industrial waterproof rating standard (0-8 levels). "IPX4" means that the earphones and line control can still function normally when splashed with water. The waterproof rating can also be compared to IPX7 devices like the Xiaomi Mi Band.
Ergonomic ear tip design with EU-grade skin-friendly ear hook material. Pay attention to the installation direction when replacing the bullhorn ear hooks, as the left and right ears are different. I particularly like these bullhorn ear hooks because they fit securely and don't fall off while running.

3. OS Operation

USB charging: 3-4 hours to fully charge, with a battery life of about 10 hours and 8 days of deep standby. Deep standby does not require settings; after using the device, you don't need to turn it off. Just pause playback for one minute, and it will automatically enter standby mode. Deep standby stops other power consumption (such as decoding and headphone amp chip power supply), retaining only the wake-up mechanism to reduce consumption and achieve long standby times. Press the power button for about 1 second to start before listening to music.

I feel that this song, with its male and female vocals, low and high tones, can be used to identify the Hi-Fi sound quality of the M1. As for the effect, I hope everyone can share their thoughts after listening. Personally, I think it performs very well. Try to download high-spec music to enjoy good sound quality.
5. Exercise Experience
The armband and leather case are not fixed together, making them easy to slide.
The M1 does not have an official waterproof rating, but it appears to be sweat-resistant to some extent, as the armband can absorb and stop sweat.
I find it easy to accidentally touch and pause the playback.
The 1MORE iBFree Bluetooth earphones are very comfortable to wear and feel solid.
The ear tips perform very well. After using these bullhorn ear hooks, I no longer want to wear ear hook earphones.
6. Summary
The Shanling M1+1MORE iBFree Bluetooth earphones set is cheaper than buying them separately. It is not about forcing consumers to buy Bluetooth earphones, but rather that 1MORE iBFree, as a Bluetooth sports earphone, is considered excellent by Shanling. Strong cooperation can mutually enhance each other. Additionally, the M1's craftsmanship, design, and optional accessories are all very exquisite, not falling behind in terms of appearance. Its compact and portable body, two-way Bluetooth transmission, ensures high-quality music can be heard anytime, anywhere.
It is somewhat surprising that it does not have integrated internal storage but uses an external expansion card. It would be even better if there were a PC music management client.
