The best time to practice yoga postures

For practicing yoga postures, the best time is when you can stick to it. Therefore, everyone should choose the most suitable time to practice yoga postures based on their specific situation. Generally speaking, most people choose one of the following three times to practice: morning, noon, and evening.

Practicing postures in the morning can wake up your body, bring oxygen to it, and keep you energetic throughout the day. Generally, people who choose to practice in the morning find it easier to stick with it.

However, since most people have to go to work or school, morning time is limited. Many people also choose to practice yoga postures during their lunch break. If you are an office worker, practicing a few stretching postures during lunch break can help reduce the stress and tension from work. Another good time to practice postures is in the evening. After a tiring day, posture practice and voice meditation can help relax your body and mind, preparing you for the next day's work or study.

The best time to practice yoga voice meditation

The best time to practice yoga voice meditation is before sunrise and at sunset. In yoga tradition, sunrise and sunset are considered the most kind and peaceful times of the day. Practicing yoga voice meditation during these times makes it easier to focus and ensure quality. If you can consistently set aside time for yoga voice meditation at sunrise and sunset every day, that would be ideal!

Precautions for yoga practice

1. The best time to practice is in the morning when the air is fresh and the environment is quiet. Of course, you can also practice yoga at dusk or other times during the day. The daily practice time can be divided into two parts: yoga postures, ideally for 10 to 60 minutes; and yoga meditation, the duration of which can be arranged according to your actual situation.

2. Do not practice yoga under the scorching sun.

3. Do not practice directly on a hard floor. Practice in a clean, flat area with a mat or towel to avoid body injury. Ensure there is no furniture or other obstructions around to allow free body movement. If practicing indoors, good ventilation is required.

4. Wear loose, sweat-absorbent, and breathable cotton or linen clothing. The top should fit well to allow for inverted poses. Pants should ideally have a drawstring, not an elastic band. Another popular option is pure cotton with Lycra fabric. It is generally best to practice barefoot, but if it's too cold, you can wear cotton socks.

5. Do not eat for at least 3 to 4 hours before practice, and wait 1 hour after practice before eating. This is more suitable and scientific for fitness yoga practitioners. However, if needed, you can have a cup of liquid food. Also, try to empty your bladder and bowels before practice to avoid any burden. Unless otherwise specified, breathe through your nose, not your mouth.

6. Yoga practice does not require any special facilities. You can buy a mat, and if you have a carpet, you can lay a large towel on it. The mat should be supportive, not too soft or too hard, and should not be slippery. For indoor practice, you need a spacious area without furniture obstructions. The indoor temperature should be comfortable, with no external disturbances.
