2017 cycling schedule four seasons beautiful scenery here
January | Circle an island and steal a coconut for you
In January, during the Spring Festival, Hainan Island is in full bloom and free from typhoons, making it perfect to start from Haikou, travel along the eastern route to Sanya, and return to Haikou via the western route, covering about 900 kilometers in total. Only by cycling can you truly appreciate the beauty of the sea and, unfortunately, the extent of its destruction.
February | A plum blossom in the corner of Suzhou and Hangzhou (Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Suzhou)
In February, the Jiangnan region sees the revival of all things, with red plum blossoms dotting the landscape, the broken bridge, withered lotus, and the bell chimes by the ancient canal. It's like riding through a traditional Chinese ink painting, humming a Jiangnan tune.
March | Seeking a soulmate amidst the rapeseed flowers (Chengdu-Chongzhou-Chongqing Road)
At this time, Chengdu is blanketed in rapeseed flowers. For cycling enthusiasts, the Jiayang small train might not be suitable, but Chongzhou's Chongqing Road is absolutely stunning, making it a refreshing route for cyclists.
April | Cherry blossoms in full bloom on campus (Wuhan)
Remember the movie 'When the Peach Blossoms Bloom'? It depicted a beautiful Wuhan with swaying peach blossoms. Also, the movie 'All Arrows Pierced the Heart' featured Han Zheng Street and a bowl of hot dry noodles.
May | China's Route 66 (Zhangbei Grassland)
This road starts from the southern side of Zhangbei County's Wild Fox Ridge (near the Wild Fox Ridge Fortress) and extends eastward to Huapi Ridge in Chongli County. It connects the Chongli Ski Area, Chicheng Hot Springs, and Zhangbei Grassland Scenic Area, making it one of the top ten most beautiful roads in mainland China.
June | Drawing a bow like a hero and encountering Mongolian tribes (Dada Line)
People say: The Dada Line is located in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, with a total length of 135 kilometers. If starting from Beijing, it's about 700 kilometers away, with the nearest major city being Xilin Gol. If cycling, you can start from Xilin Gol.
People also say: This place encapsulates the essence of Inner Mongolia's scenery, but it is not found on most maps. The fact is, the scenery here is the most beautiful. The best views are often less visited and don't require tickets because the best scenery is along the road.
July | Flowers bloom a thousand times, still in dreams (Cycling from Nianbaoyuze to Ruoergai)
In summer, the stars shine brightly here. Spring arrives late, and the sea of flowers is vast and boundless. Both Ruoergai and Nianbaoyuze have it.
August | A dream around the lake before the school season (Qinghai Lake)
Compared to Route 318, more people choose to cycle around the lake. The scenery is still beautiful, and the difficulty is relatively lower, at least without the constant worry of landslides. For college students, this is more reassuring for their families. Cycling is not about being reckless; safety should always come first.
September | To see a colorful mountain (Zhangye)
Lanzhou-Zhangye-Jiuquan-Jiayuguan-Yumen-Guazhou-Dunhuang (approximately 1100 kilometers in total)
October | Taiwan, I'll take a long vacation to visit you (Cycling around Taiwan Island)
With the National Day holiday and annual leave, it's a great time for a long vacation. From Taipei heading south, I once said we would cycle around Taiwan together. If you don't come, I won't go.
November-December | Since I'm unhappy and don't like it here, why not head west to Dali (Cycling around Erhai Lake)
Who doesn't have dust on their head? Who hasn't been bitten on the shoulder? Maybe love is waiting by Erhai Lake, and maybe a story is unfolding.
