The total distance from Chengdu to Balang Mountain is about 196.5 kilometers. Starting from the smog, heading west, passing through Dujiangyan, there are flat roads and bumpy ones. After good roads, there are bad ones ahead. Passing through tunnels, with each mountain pass, the sky changes. Only when you walk through it, you realize the weather gets colder. Looking up from the basin, gradually there are snow-capped mountains, winding roads, and blue skies.

Balang Mountain is located in the east of Xiaojin County, at the junction of Xiaojin, Wenchuan, and Baoxing counties, more than 200 kilometers from Chengdu. Balang Mountain has an altitude of 5040 meters, called Balangla in Tibetan, meaning Holy Willow Mountain. The area above 4000 meters in the scenic area is a cold and weathered high mountain, with steep and rugged terrain, exposed rocks, and dangerous conditions. Everywhere you can see scree slopes and rock piles formed by falling rocks. The winding road is the most dangerous road heading east in Aba Prefecture.

White clouds like the sea, continuous snow-capped mountains, undulating meadows, 'infinite scenery in dangerous peaks'. Crossing Balang Mountain, the peaks turn, morning and evening light, mist and haze. This may be the favorite route of cyclists.
