I think people still live by some scattered memories, right?

Those wonderful, touching moments,

I don't know what you all think?

For me, I need them,

they support me to keep going.

Because of the beauty I once had, I can be indomitable,

because of my obsession and longing for the future,

I will burn myself out and give my all.

I keep those interesting words,

when I'm tired, I look at them and tell myself,

there are many blank pages in the memoir,

there's plenty of ink in the pen,

even if my arm is broken, I can still write.

Pack up and set off again.

When you mention Jiang Jinfu, what is the first word or image that comes to your mind?

Is it the somewhat naive and innocent big boy Jiang Jinfu from 'The Left Ear' and 'Secret Fruit'?

Is it the popular young star Jiang Jinfu from hit dramas like 'Xuan-Yuan Sword', 'Breakup Contract', 'Scarlet Heart 2', and 'The Legend of Qin'?

Is it the tough guy Jiang Jinfu from 'Real Men' who didn't want to affect others even when he was injured?

Is it the playful and cute Jiang Jinfu on Weibo, who loves to joke around and take selfies with a big grin?

Is it the sports fanatic Jiang Jinfu who loves brotherhood basketball, running alone, and working out?

Or is it the 'ungrateful' 'villain' Jiang Jinfu in the eyes of keyboard warriors due to the contract termination controversy?

The fierce rookie king, the winding path of acting

Jiang Jinfu, who came from a sports background, had to say goodbye to his track and field dream due to an injury, but accidentally got into the acting department of Shanghai Theatre Academy with the top score in his major. In his freshman year, he appeared on 'Happy Camp' as the 'school hunk' of Shanghai Theatre Academy, gaining a lot of fans. That episode also featured the current queen of viewership, Yang Mi. In his sophomore year, this 'naive boy' took on a major role in the Tangren fantasy drama 'Xuan-Yuan Sword', working with popular actors like Hu Ge and Liu Shishi. After that, he collaborated with Liu Shishi and Wu Qilong in 'Scarlet Heart 2', with Bai Baihe and Eddie Peng in 'Breakup Contract', and with Fan Bingbing and Aarif Rahman in 'One Night Surprise'...

Such a start would be considered fierce for any newcomer. The industry regarded him as the leading young actor of the post-90s generation in mainland China, and many media even dubbed him 'Hu Ge's successor'. Jiang Jinfu's resources were enviably good.

However, God never allows anyone he chooses to live so comfortably. The contract termination controversy dealt a severe blow to Jiang Jinfu's acting career overnight. Jiang Jinfu suddenly disappeared from the screen, faster than his rise to fame.

33.jpg

In 2012he worked a total of 36 days, in 2013, 60 days, in 2014, 145 days, and in 2015, 133 days. For an industry that requires constant exposure, such working hours are equivalent to being 'shelved'. Moreover, the entertainment industry is a place where newcomers constantly emerge.

Regarding the contract termination controversy, a netizen said something very reasonable: Jiang Jinfu terminated his contract, and many people said he was bad, but actors are also people, and they have the right to choose their way of working. Would you scold your colleague for resigning?

Many actors always wear a smile on the surface, using what we call 'professionalism' to support themselves at work, but their pressure and helplessness in the face of controversies, we can only be bystanders, watching the excitement like a monkey show. Many times, isn't their pressure caused by us 'true fans'?

Fortunately, he encountered 'Real Men' and became a 'fan magnet' again.

Sweating men, versatile sports fanatic

'Captain, if one day, I have nothing, will you still treat me as a brother?'

'Let me tell you, Fuzi, from the moment I met you until now, you have always had nothing.'

The captain was right, in front of those who love me,

I will always remain my original self,

my self with nothing, my most genuine self.

...

I'm particularly clumsy and ignorant, if I feel bad in the future,

will you take the initiative to send me a message?

I like to act strong and always carry on...

but I really need you all...

—Jiang Jinfu, 'Words Said When It Rains'

The contract termination controversy brought a lot of pressure to Jiang Jinfu. Whether it was lawsuits or public opinion, it was unprecedented pressure for a young man in his early twenties. Fuzi admitted, 'During that time, I was really stressed and didn't know what to do.'

Fortunately, there was sports.

Looking at Jiang Jinfu's Weibo, most of it is about sports. Some even said, 'Jiang Jinfu's Weibo certification shouldn't say 'actor', it should say 'runner, fitness coach' instead.'

5.jpg

In our eyes, Jiang Jinfu is 'slim in clothes, muscular without', with a great body. But Jiang Jinfu thinks that more than a good body, he wants a healthy body that allows him to 'jump higher, run faster, and have more explosive power', rather than just 'looking good'.

6.jpg

Unlike most people who only exercise in the gym, Jiang Jinfu exercises anytime, anywhere. During filming, he can squeeze in a few sets of push-ups or planks on set. After work, back at home or in the hotel, as long as he has the energy, he will do a few sets. His luggage often includes dumbbell plates bought by his dad or fitness equipment he bought online. When none of these are available, he will 'carry a box of water in the room and do frog jumps'.

When alone, Jiang Jinfu likes to run, a hobby inherited from his father. Fuzi once wrote in a Weibo post about running, 'Dad, I inherited your fighting spirit', and earlier, he posted a photo of his dad night running onInstagramsaying 'that was the happiest time'.

Occasional running check-ins and getting lost let fans know about this 'running expert who gets lost', and his 'wet selfies' without any personal image management made those who love him laugh out loud.

A promise to run a half marathonis also fulfilled

9.jpg

Of course, just like occasionally getting lost in his career,

he sometimes gets lost while running too.

10.jpg

For Jiang Jinfu, born in 1991, he is still very young. Whether in career or life, it's like a marathon that has just begun. We may encounter many obstacles, detours, and twists on the way to the finish line, but so what?A sweating life needs no explanation,as long as you have a clear direction and move forward, you will eventually reach the finish line and achieve a fierce self.
