case study share crcf the power of walking

"The power of walking originated from a moment of frustration while stuck on a crowded city bus. Perhaps we can't change the terrible traffic conditions, but maybe we can change the way we walk..."

The administrator of China Resources Vanguard's Jiangxi branch expressed the initial intention of creating the club and organizing employee activities. This small sentiment prompted the company to launch a six-month walking activity for all employees. Extending from individual perception to caring for each employee, the company put a lot of effort into the activity, with different themes each month, diverse content, meticulously tracked data, and results displays, making the originally mundane walking activity rich, colorful, and interesting.

Caring for Employees: A Model Central Enterprise

China Resources Vanguard is a retail chain brand under the central enterprise China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. The company's employees are a large group composed of different cultural backgrounds, age groups, and regions. While hoping to bring customers a sense of home that is warm, abundant, modern, and healthy, the company also seeks to make each employee feel the ease and safety of home.

Employees in the service industry usually have relatively independent work content and a monotonous leisure life. Organizing large-scale team activities and giving employees personal attention has always been a major challenge for the company. In this activity, China Resources Vanguard's Jiangxi branch utilized the Codoon Enterprise Club platform, initiating team and individual competitions monthly, inviting all employees to participate. The online sports PK ranking without regional and time restrictions, coupled with both spiritual and material rewards, greatly heightened the employees' enthusiasm.

Variety of Play Styles: Team Effort

The marathon walking competition in June officially kicked off the event. Offline activities and online rankings were conducted simultaneously, and the total number of steps taken by employees in the first competition exceeded 100 million steps.

The administrator vividly described the activity data, "The total walking distance is equivalent to walking from China's Nansha Islands to Houston, USA." They also selected the top three individuals and teams for awards, which quickly expanded a team of less than a hundred to a thousand-strong force.

To make the activities more interesting, the administrator team meticulously planned the competition format for each month, from July's 'All-out Attack' to August's 'Battle of Heroes,' to September's 'Charity Walk,' and October's 'Double Dragon Duel.' Employees formed their own teams or were randomly grouped, each team given a unique nickname. Through team competitions, every member contributed their strength to their team. They may have never interacted before, but the activities brought them closely together.

"The power of walking" represents China Resources Vanguard's Jiangxi branch's genuine care for its employees. On the Codoon Enterprise Club platform, it transformed scattered, unorganized personal exercise into organized, purposeful, and content-rich healthy activities. It integrated rationality and fun into walking activities, promoting positive competition and mutual understanding among employees, creating opportunities for familiar interactions, thereby enhancing the center's cohesion and fostering a harmonious, equal, and inclusive work atmosphere.
