Tao Chunxiao, this year24 years old, 163cm tall, weighing 55kg,is currently a university student.
I was very chubby as a child, with short hair, and because I looked like a boy, I was once chased out of the girls' restroom by an aunt. However, because I was chubby and cute, I was once hugged and photographed by Zhao Wei during a trip to a movie city.
After middle school, I became aware of 'fat and thin' and 'beauty,'and began a long journey of weight loss.At that time, I was young and didn't understand much, so I used dieting as a method. The consequence was—endocrine disorders, which took nearly a year of traditional Chinese medicine to regulate back to normal.
Although I was chubby, I was always a top athlete in school, often representing the school in sports competitions and winning awards. I had a small hope of becoming an athlete in the future. By the time I reached senior high school, I knew about sports special admissions, so I became a sports student. However, due to the short training period, I didn't get into the Shanghai Institute of Physical Education. I always felt I missed out on something I loved until I discovered fitness.
The reason I started fitness was quite coincidental. One day, I saw an introduction about a very outstanding bikini athlete on a public account and learned about the bikini fitness competition. At that moment, I had a very strong thought: I want to do this too.
Because of that momentary decision, I became obsessed with fitness.
I now go to the gym 5-6 times a week, each session lasting about an hour.In terms of diet, because I have a big appetite, I eat a lot every day, usually five meals a day, mainly consisting of oats, purple sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes, chicken, beef, fish, and various vegetables.
Everyone knows diet is very important for fitness, but living at school, diet is a big problem. The cafeteria doesn't have fitness meals, so I secretly brought a pot and an egg steamer to the dormitory, bought chicken breast and eggs from the supermarket, and cooked them in the dormitory. There were a few times when the dorm supervisor did surprise inspections, and I was so scared that I stuffed the food into the shoe cabinet. Thinking back now, it's quite a funny memory.
Of course, I'm actually a foodie too, so I schedule one or two cheat meals a week, usually on days when I dine with friends or family. After all, you can't lose social connections because of fitness.
Although I've only been into fitness for just a year, I've participated in quite a few competitions, and inthe 2018 Shanghai Institute of Physical Education Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship and Social Open, I won the University Student Group A championship and the overall runner-up.Additionally, I also wonthe 2018 Beijing China University Student Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship Bikini Group D runner-up.
My routine has become regular, and fitness has become an indispensable part of my life, a lifestyle. I no longer stay up all night or go clubbing. Of course, fitness people are also lonely; the social circle becomes smaller. Friends invite me to dinners, but I have training plans. After a few invitations, they stop asking.
At school, it's a life of commuting between the gym and the school, rain or shine. In the gym's strength training area, I'm often the only girl, frequently getting strange looks, but I'm fearless.
At first, I had no idea how to use the various gym equipment and how to do split training. Through my fitness friends who guided me, and by reading various fitness books, public accounts, websites, and videos, I learned about fitness training and diet knowledge. Gradually, I enriched my theoretical knowledge, practiced training, and explored the correct points of exertion myself.
There are two types of friends: one type thinks I'm very disciplined and admires me, and the other type thinks I'm beyond help and won't be able to get married in the future. I don't care much about others' opinions; I just want to persist in doing what I like. Of course, if they support me, that would be even better!
My mom is quite supportive, but during my competition preparation phase, she once thought I shouldn't compete anymore because the preparation process is very torturous, with steps like fat loss, dehydration, and carb loading. She felt very distressed for me, but I was willing to persist, and in the end, I achieved good results.
Besides fitness, I also like going out with friends to eat and shop, watch movies, and play badminton. My favorite is traveling; I've already been to24 countries. Experiencing different customs and cultures in different countries is very meaningful. Once, while traveling in the Czech Republic, I even met Xu Zheng.
I'm not sure what the future holds, but I hope to find a job I like after graduation. I will also continue to maintain my fitness habit because I'm just starting on this fitness journey. I hope I can go further and achieve more excellent results!
