Changjiang, a radiant pearl embedded in the western part of Hainan Island, is named after the Changhua River that flows through it. With a history spanning over 2,000 years, Changjiang is rich in historical and cultural heritage. The county has a total population of 265,000, primarily comprising Han, Li, and Miao ethnic groups, with the Li people making up one-third of the population.

Changjiang has a typical tropical maritime climate, with an annual average rainfall of 1,800 millimeters and an average temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius. It enjoys abundant sunshine and a perpetual spring-like climate. The region is rich in mineral resources, with the Shilu Iron Mine being the largest open-pit iron mine in Asia and the richest iron mine in Asia. Major ports include Changhua, Haiwei, Xinkou, and Shayutang, all of which are natural fishing harbors.

Changjiang Li Autonomous County is located in the northwest of Hainan Province. It borders Baisha Li Autonomous County to the east, Ledong Li Autonomous County to the south, and faces Dongfang City across the Changhua River to the southwest. Bawangling Nature Reserve

Bawangling Nature Reserve spreads its wings and crouches in the southeast of Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Hainan. Emperor Cave is one of Hainan's key nature reserves. It is located east of Yapuo Village in Wangxia Township, Changjiang, about 60 kilometers from the county seat, Shilu Town. The cave extends from west to east, with a width of about 60 meters, a depth of about 130 meters, and a height of 25 meters, covering an area of about 7,800 square meters and accommodating over 10,000 people.

Miao Village in Qicha Town is located on the eastern side of Qicha Town, with the Shiba Highway running through it. It is a Miao ethnic village in Changjiang County, named for its concentration of Miao people. Currently, the village has completed the renovation of 17 Miao-style houses, achieving complete interior decoration and access to water and electricity, allowing villagers to move in directly.

As part of the 'Greening Hainan' campaign, 15 types of trees, including kapok, rosewood, and chrysanthemum, have been planted along village roads, field ridges, and around houses.
