[Editor's Note] History is the best textbook. It faithfully records the footprints of a nation and a country, profoundly influencing the future direction of a nation and a country. On September 3, 2016, the 71st anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan, on this bright autumn day belonging to the victors, let us follow the steps of the Codoon official running group and look back at those heroic years of war, paying tribute to the veterans!

[Codoon Bengbu Running Group] - We commemorate this history by running
Tengchong, the main battlefield of the Anti-Japanese War in western Yunnan, once wrote a tragic epic of the Xinhai Tengyue Uprising and saw the emergence of many anti-Japanese heroes such as Li Genyuan, a founding father of the Republic of China, and Zhang Wende, an anti-Japanese county magistrate. These guardians of the Republic, even as time took away their youth, still saluted with all their might. Such salutes carry the rise and fall of history and the tempering of time. They spent their lives guarding the entire nation!
The smoke of war has long dissipated, but the memory of history has never ceased. As the younger generation, we thank our ancestors for the happy life we have now, with enough food and warmth, in a peaceful time without war.
On September 3, the Bengbu Happy Jogging Group commemorated the 71st anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan with a large-scale running event and the 'Magnified Marathon - Tengma & Codoon Running Group Challenge,' celebrating this history in a joyful and healthy way, paying high respect to the veterans, comrades, patriots, and anti-Japanese generals who participated in the war!
On September 3, 2015, the first commemorative run for the 70th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan was held.
On September 3, 2016, the second commemorative run for the 71st anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan was held.
Runners arrived early at the meeting point and solemnly signed their names on the banner commemorating the 71st anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Tengchong Magnified Marathon flag.
The Codoon Bengbu Official Running Group did collective stretching exercises.
Set off!!! One group was like an army, another like a commando unit, with some jogging happily and others challenging themselves.
The male gods of the running group, heroic and handsome!! Thanks to the behind-the-scenes support from the running group's graphic designer, Mengru.
A commando unit of 20 people set out for the 'Magnified Marathon & Codoon Tengma Running Group Challenge,' precisely completing the 210.97-kilometer target with an average pace of 4.42. Quoting the principal, 'As pure amateurs, you are indeed very impressive, thumbs up.'
Tengchong native Mr. Li once wrote a poem: 'Eight years of bloody resistance against the arrogant enemy, the killing spirit as high as the clouds. A new war history was written, to be passed down for generations to come.' His heroic spirit is evident. Everything we enjoy and cherish today was paved by the lives of every revolutionary martyr. Their beliefs, their spirit, and their aspirations supported the establishment of New China and our peace. We do not expect everyone today to strive for great achievements, but we earnestly ask not to forget the peace they fought for, as a self-encouragement.
