Before announcing the results of this study, let me tell you an interesting story—
Beyond that mountain, beyond that sea, there is a group of gorillas imprisoned and tortured daily by biological experiments. Due to a medical mishap, these gorillas collectively gained advanced intelligence through genetic drugs. They wanted freedom and to make a change! Led by their leader, Caesar (yes, they have names!), they spent ten years establishing a sizable settlement.
Meanwhile, humans, devastated by a biological virus, have almost disappeared, barely surviving in old cities and desperately seeking new living spaces. When interests clash and survival is threatened, the ultimate battle between Caesar's ape tribe and the Colonel's human army is about to unfold!
As for the result... Miss Codoon doesn't know either. 'War for the Planet of the Apes' will be released on September 15th. Go watch it in the cinema yourself, haha! (P.S. Miss Codoon has a bunch of movie tickets to give away. Want one?)
But today, I want to talk to you about gorillas running on Codoon and competing in physical fitness with humans.Everyone knows that in the evolutionary history of Earth's creatures, humans and chimpanzees were originally one loving family. Chimpanzees'DNA differs from humans by less than 1%. So someone might ask:
With such close genetic relatives competing in a running PK, who will be the ultimate winner?
Let's analyze agility, speed, and endurance one by one—
A. Running Challenger: Chimpanzee: Ape Tribe Leader 'Caesar':
Chimpanzees, when standing, can reach up to 1.7 meters (Note: The average height of men in our country is only 1.67 meters). Males weigh about 56~80 kg, which makes their BMI a bit high... Gluttonous? They are actually vegetarians who love leaves and fruits, so they don't have much body fat. They are the gym's favorite muscle giants.
Naturally fond of climbing, their agility is evident. When the starting gun fires, it might just shoot out like a bullet, so it deserves 5 stars for agility.
In terms of endurance, most terrestrial animals lack reliable cooling mechanisms. The excess heat generated during long runs inhibits various enzymes (think of the cheetah, which can run fast but stops after a while). If you can't understand, think about how your body feels when you have a fever. Therefore, Caesar's endurance in running is inferior, at most 3 stars.
In terms of speed, scientific research shows that chimpanzees run at about 26 km/h. Although far from the top ten fastest animals on Earth, this speed is on par with humans, deserving 4 stars.
In the 'Planet of the Apes' movie, Caesar is a peace-loving chimpanzee who always tries to prevent conflicts with humans. But in reality, 'Caesars' are quite the opposite. Many primates fight, and it's not uncommon for them to murder their kind.
Miss Codoon once saw a zookeeper complain online that a chimpanzee went berserk and cracked bulletproof glass with a punch (note, this was a zoo-raised chimpanzee, not a wild one). Scary explosive power....Therefore, they might break their ownPBat any time!
B. Human representative daring to compete with the gorilla: 'The Colonel':
(Minor spoilers ahead, be warned)
In the movie, the Colonel is a man who dares to go shirtless in the snow. His physical fitness needs no further elaboration. As a human leader, although extreme, he is highly intelligent and agile.4stars!
Humans have developed the strongest cooling system among terrestrial mammals. With fully exposed skin, developed sweat glands, and an upright posture for optimal heat dissipation, humans can rely on good cooling to maintain body functions over long distances (our ancestors used endurance to exhaust animals for hunting). This is a decisive factor for running endurance, deserving a 5-star rating.
As an excellent special forces soldier, the Colonel is unlucky to live in a tense era, constantly on the move to make a living. As the leader chosen by the remaining humans, he is extreme in character and has high self-expectations, working out daily to show off his muscles. Naturally, his body is well-honed, and his running speed far exceeds that of ordinary people, deserving a 4-star rating!
Compared to Caesar's strong explosiveness, the Colonel is more strategic and cautious, making him less explosive but more consistent. His chances of breaking his PB are relatively lower than that of the chimpanzee.
After all this discussion, it seems that Caesar and the Colonel are evenly matched!
However, Marx tells us that practice is the only criterion for testing truth!
Friends, take action quickly! From September 16th to 24th, join the 'War for the Planet of the Apes 3: Ultimate Battle' online run and schedule a king's PK match with your big cousin—the strongest chimpanzee! Use practical action to witness whether it's more powerful or if you're the boss!
Finally, the question arises → Based on your years of running experience, who do you think will be the ultimate winner?
